I'm pretty much expecting the Executor polystone diorama with all 6 bounty hunters. They said this was going to be the year of the bounty hunters. And in all honesty, it's been a very hum-drum year so far. It's time to kick it up a notch.

I have no clue what anybody's names are in TOR, but I need these Havoc Troopers ASAP:pray:

got to ask though.. why are there clone troopers Three- THOUSAND years before the clone wars?

wouldn't that be kinda like our modern military wearing roman legonaire armor?

I mean, hell, look how much the armor changed/ advanced in the 16 years between the end of the clone wars, and the first sw film

granted there is some similarity between clone troopers and stormtroopers, but one would think that in THREE THOUSAND YEARS the designs would be alot different.

And... don't they say that there has not been a Full standing army since the founding of the republic?

Sorry.. I've got a great deal of beef with TOR, as it craps all over MOVIE ESTABLISHED canon more than the EU.

I hear you but what would you want them to wear? Loincloths? Davey Crockett gear? Kilts? I played the two KOTR games and the ships and droids were the only things that really seemed 'old school'. Everything else like outfits and weaponry was pretty much the same. Oh well.

It's annoying for sure but ya got to admit, the Republic Troopers do look cool. I have more of a beef with all the Sith guys looking like Revan. The new Sith (species) Sith Lord from the new trailer looked alot like Revan with his mask on as well as the Sith soldiers from the last 2 trailers.

This is something I'd spend $1,200 on. Eff Boba Fett, I'd kill for a badass Zuckuss. You could even build him on the hobbit body.

That's one thing that's bugged me about a lot of EU lore - most games/comics/books do a poor job of reflecting the passage of time in terms of technology, architecture, fashion, etc. The Old Republic is full of troopers who look like late prototype Clonetroopers and Sith Lords who seem to have played mix and match with Malak and Vader's costumes. And it's not even the continuity angle that bugs me so much as the lack of artistic creativity it shows. Those old Jedi vs. Sith comics from writers like Rick Veitch don't always hold up so well, but one thing they did manage was to offer a visual take on the Star Wars universe that was original and reflected a society still thousands of years behind the one in the movies.

:goodpost: EXACTLY! :goodpost:
If they had those troopers in the old republic, why are the phase I clones so poorly armoured?!

The Star Wars Legacy comic series which is about 140 years after the OT does a pretty good job of showing the passage of time. The Imperial ships are much more sleek looking and I think are actually smaller which illustrates how technology normally progresses. This is also only one example as there are a lot of others. This is actually a pretty awesome series if you haven't gotten into it yet. There's something to be said about a Death Stick addicted Skywalker who walks the thin line between the light and dark sides. Pretty sweet stuff.

No...it would actually be more like the legionaires wearing modern combat systems.:)

I used to have a problem with this stuff. I first noticed in immediately when EI came out. The ships in that movie looked way more advanced than in the OT which was supposed to be 30 years later.

The advancement of technology has done so many switchbacks in the Star Wars comtinuum that I have just accepted it as a part of the makeup of the Star Wars universe. It is just not worth getting upset about.

I like Legacy a lot. I fell behind when they started with the War mini-series, but now that's over I'll have to make a point of reading it.

I don't want it, but if they were to make it. . . obviously it'd need to be about 24" long, definitely longer than Jabba's throne. I think the throne was 22". . . the Executor would probably be 30" . . . ridiculously long. Probably 17" high

Executor bridge would be a total pass for me... cool idea and one I'm sure would look great in someone's collection. But I would not want to dedicate the necessary space or $$$ for one.

But I'll be happy to buy each of the 6 bounty hunters :lecture

Not to mention, these guys were actual soldiers fighting actual Sith, and not mass-produced Clones bred to be Droid canon fodder

Another thing is that I really don't think clothes matter in the Star Wars universe. Most of the characters in SW still walk around in robes!!! At least in our history most people have moved away from togas and robes, but in SW they still wear them right beside people who wear 'normal' outfits and soldiers covered in armor from head to toe. For continuity purposes I just don't think it matters in SW.
