You can probably cross Fett and Vader off the list because regardless of what anyone else has done, HT isn't likely to soon release or announce second versions of characters they've already got coming out and haven't yet shipped. They're more likely if you really stretch out the list, but then it would require moving a lot of the more significant (as we currently assume) TFA figures forward. I'd also expect a BB-8 and later on a TFA 3-PO in any list approaching 20 figures.

Why do some of you think there's merit to dismissing the chances of Walrusman getting his day? :lol

They've already made two of the four iconic Kenner bar flies, & they're really nice figures (despite Greedo's parachute material outfit) - & sold very well iirc.

It's only a matter of time, but again.. the prices will be the deciding factor. I guess SSC have already gotten a glimpse of what the fans are thinking in that regard, going by pilot Luke etc. They've got way more to lose with a release like that one.

All that said - it hasn't all been smooth sailing with SSC & their 1/6 alien figures. Their Gamorrean guard was sub par, & you know something's up when Hasbro completely schooled them back in 2010 with their 4" Vintage Collection figure.

Maybe SSC are starting to think like HT; if they're not poster characters or at least popular 2nd tier ones, they won't be future contenders for development. :(

:(

Because you could have bought Greedo AND Hammerhead and had change from $200.

Not sure there would be enough takers for a $220 Walrussman to warrant its development.

And also because there are more important characters that share more than 20 seconds of screen time which have not yet been done. To most people he is just aggressive alien that starts a brawl

The more 'important thing'.. would be for SSC to stop wasting their time with complicated characters that require more than a 1 up on Hasbro.

I wish I had been collecting back then. Granted not everything holds up now but for those prices I would have lived with how they looked, especially for some of the side characters. That's the biggest thing now is that there just aren't many people who will buy obscure characters like the Walrusman for $200 plus.

The one thing I give Sideshow credit for is that they do some of the characters that Hot Toys likely won't touch such as R5-D4, the AT-AT Driver, or the Jawas but at their current prices I can't see many willing to spring the cash for some of the smaller characters. The ones I mentioned will probably all sell decently but more of the Cantina creatures or even some of the bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back like Dengar will be tough sells for higher prices.

Zuckuss and 4-Lom are coming, and to me at least, they're way more insignificant than Walrusman - does anyone expect they'll be less than $200 each? Their saving grace is that you can display them along with Boba Fett, Bossk and IG-88. Maybe one day Dengar.

I don't expect they'll be under $200. I think the days of Sideshow putting out figures for less than $200 each are over as evidenced by the recent AT-AT Driver and other recent figures. Whether that's because of their costs going up due to licensing or whatever they seem to have the new price point cemented in place and I don't expect it to change. The point I was making is that I don't think they'll sell a lot of those more obscure background characters at those prices. I mean realistically I doubt there are that many people willing to throw down $200 or more for Walrusman, Zuckuss, 4-Lomm, Dengar, etc. Even previously released characters like Greedo and Bib Fortuna probably only did well because of being at the lower price point and a character like Greedo is semi well known.

Really can't wait to see Jedi Luke. The original Sideshow figure was so great way back then, it was all we knew. I also hope they don't totally ignore the prequels, at least give us a Qui-Gon and ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan.
