I'm thinking of Cody being a good unveiling for CV. I'm really not sure what to expect with the 2 big shows this year. Either Comic Con or CV would be a good time for a heavy ESB focus on unveilings, but I can't figure which they'd do, or both. CV seems more appropriate as it's specifically Star Wars and none of their other products and it's during the ESB anniversary year, but SDCC is still the big show. I do hope to see the Gammy by Comic Con at the latest though, I'm really excited for that one.

Don't forget about ToyFair. So I guess Boba, Cody and the Gammy would be the big announcements. Then again, I think there's also an ESB Vader hiding in the wings.

Well with 2010 being the 30th Anny of ESB, I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation.

I hope so. We definitely didn't get TPM represented in '09 for its 10th year anniversary.

As much as I love Vader. There are a ton of characters I would like to see before another one. And a lot of them are from Empire so they can fit right into the 30th anniversary celebration.

Well, if they're planning a Hoth display at SDCC, along with Han and Luke, ESB Vader flanked by Snowtroopers wouldn't exactly be out of place.

Oh man...as great as that would be...not all at once! The ole' wallet couldn't take it! Just a Hoth character here or there please...
Toyfair I almost see as a bit of a throwaway with 2 other major conventions this year, and by that I mean like not a Trooper variant, but not a figure that's really going to get a big wow, since fans can't attend the show, it'd be silly to waste a real attention grabber when you have 2 shows full of fans to lure them over at. Plus with the ESB anniversary, if Tarkin, Greedo or Count Dooku are close, TF would be a good time to pop any of those out, they're wanted, but I don't think any of their designs, especially Tarkin, would make a bit splash at the major cons like Boba Fetts and other ESB designs would, but any of them would serve well to make Toy Fair worthwile also.

I agree. It'd be great to have another Leia in the collection, but if given a choice, I'd prefer Bespin over Hoth. We've already got Bespin Han and Luke. I'd be afraid that if we got a Hoth Leia, Sideshow wouldn't get around to doing her Hoth counterparts for years and that would make for a very odd display.

On the other hand, having a Hoth Leia might push Sideshow to ramp up the rest of the Hoth counterparts!
The Leia and Bespin Hoth outfits are pretty much the same. I think the Hoth outfit just has an additional vest and gloves, but the body suit is the same. Oh and the hair is different. So they could do an all-in-one with just an alternate head sculpt with different hair, extra gloved hands and a removable vest.

Look how long it took them to make Bespin Luke after Bespin Han. Still waiting on a TPM Obi to go with Qui Gon too. Nah, rather see a Bespin Leia than a Hoth Leia. Of course, if her Hoth counterparts are announced beforehand, that's an entirely different thing.

If they wanted a really "wow" display/announcement (a la Jabba) wouldn't a Hoth trio (Han, Luke, and Leia) with taun taun be effective?

Another $300 polystone slab? No thanks. I think Vader and two Snowtroopers (one with the E-Web or whatever it's called) would be good enough. Though, a Luke with Wampa (on a built-up Vader body) would be pretty cool too.
