That's just pure speculation about Yulli, where do you get this stuff from... Maybe they got it right and your perceptions are all wrong, ever consider that? I don't see a squashed head. 90% of what you write about is how you perceived faults in products... I collect for the enjoyment of it, not so I can pick out what's wrong with everything. Maybe you should consider taking up another hobby that doesn't annoy you so much. :monkey1

See that bit where you say this hobby annoys me so much? Where do you get that from? Thats just pure speculation on your part.

I point out things that I think could have been better here on these forums and not even on every figure - I get the impression you have this idea of me as an eternal complainer which couldn't be further from the truth. You don't have to be super positive about everything dude, you won't go to hell. :monkey1

Compare HT t-800 to actual T2 movie stills and you'll see what hes talking about.

Well I don't think Reaktwon cares enough to even do that, he seems to just take everything at face value and thats fine, no harm done to anyone else but I wonder if this place is a little too a-n-a-l for him. Many (most?) of us here do care about the details and contrary to what he seems to think we enjoy talking about them - its part of the hobby.

:exactly: If we didnt discuss our opinions on what we think is right or wrong with a figure than imagine how boring this forum would be.

And hey I'm like Reaktwon as regards things like the Iron Man figures. They look awesome to me but I'm sure there are many collecting that line who find flaws. I've maybe posted once or twice in there saying how cool a figure looks but beyond that I have nothing more to say because I don't care enough - but don't jump on those people who do. I kind of did so recently in a roundabout sideways way in the DC section and I regretted it - I realised my own hypocrisy, I'm not going to do it again.

I've posted in the Platoon figure threads saying how incredible those look but beyond that I have nothing really to say. The figures look amazing and everyone agrees and guess what? Theres nothing to talk about. The threads are pretty boring to me. Good for the figures, not so good for discussion. So thats probably how certain notions about people being nothing but complainers come about - when a figure is perfect there is simply nothing to say. One or two posts of "Holy $H!t this is incredible!!!" is quite sufficient.

You've been kissing the Blarney Stone, but what you're saying doesn't make a great deal of sense to me - it's all very ambiguous. What does squashed head mean? Whatever it is, I don't like the sound of it. Are you trying to say your figure is damaged in some way? Because he looks like a near perfect representation of the character to me, but I guess you'll just chalk that up to me being ignorant of the facts. It's not a fact just because you see something a certain way, so don't be so surprised when someone questions your way of thinking because of it.

If you don't have something good to say, say something bad, or nothing at all? I have to agree with Reaktwon about your incessant negativity and baseless speculations. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're a bad person or anything, but it's just the way you come across to me sometimes, too.:peace

I wish a really good T1 statue (possibly not PF)
exactly as appear in T1 movie poster
:D

<Sigh>Incessant negativity. I call that selective reading or selective interpretation of the tone of my posts on both of your parts. I very very often post positive comments on many figures - go find my posts in the Platoon Chris Taylor, Sgt. Barnes, Predators Royce and Expendables Barney Ross threads, aswell as a great many overwhelmingly positive posts in each HT Terminator thread - particularly the T-1000 and Sarah Connor ones. Or don't and put me on ignore if the slightest ounce of negativity offends your sensibilities because I'm not going to change for you guys. Theres nothing to change, I'm no more negative than the majority of people here.

You are just taking the answers you want from what Hex is saying and ignoring the rest. I would like to know what you mean by squashed face as well. The T-800 is just about as good as a sculpt and paint can be in a figure. You want to critique figures and that's fine, but sometimes people are going to ask where you're coming from when you do, that's all.

Now bring on that BD T2 T-800! :yess::yess:

Funny I'd have said the same to her in regards to her post which didn't take account of almost anything I'd written above.

Well I have no objection to talking about the figure. What I do object to is people making blanket judgments about other people based on the small body of posts they happen to have read in the time they've been here. I don't do it to other people and I'd appreciate it if people didn't do it to me.

I can tell you what I think is wrong with the T-800s face (the one and only thing as I've frequently emphasised) if I'm not going to be dismissed as a whiner. I also don't demand that you agree with me - I'm simply not going to type 'IMO' after every sentence as that would be tiresome for me to write and for others to read.

The one problem I have always seen with the T-800s face is its too short and the sunglasses are the wrong size and shape to fit this 'squashed' face. The features are too compacted together on the vertical axis. Basically his eyes are too close to his mouth if you compare the figure to the man himself. Somewhere in the T1 figure's thread Terminator_Fan_Game put together comparisons and photoshops which I think perfectly illustrated this point.
So if I could change it I'd make the bridge of the nose a tiny bit longer and a tiny bit more vertical to stretch the face a bit. Its possible something else like the forehead would have to be adjusted too had they done that. Its a small difference that would have made this headsculpt utterly beyond doubt perfection because everything else about it, as I have always said, is dead-on.

Now before you respond, do remember - you asked.

A-dev,

You inferred that I wouldn't bother worrying because I don't care and only take things at face value. You've totally disregarded everything said by me and Hex because apparently we don't know what we're talking about. I'm having a hard time imagining what he would look like if you had your way. Maybe it's the sculpted hair that's giving you that impression.

I opted not to clarify to either of you what I meant by 'squashed face' - thats the only thing I disregarded as far as I can see in your posts - and only because I felt a more urgent need to get rid of this notion both of you seemed to have that I am 'incessantly negative' (hex's words). Yeah I can be but certainly, as I said before, no more than a heck of a lot of people here.

Perhaps I too was guilty of making a blanket judgement with my 'face value' comments about you. If you actually are interested in talking about, yeah, negatives, rightly or wrongly perceived, then I take that back.

-a final edit before I pack it in - I don't remember ever saying that you or Hex "don't know what you're talking about" nor was it my intention to infer that - out of curiosity what sentence of mine were you basing that on?

Ok, this feels a little weird. We don't agree about the T-800's face, so lets just leave it at that. The squashed face comments are just plain wrong in my eyes. The figure isn't sold out because it only bears slight resemblance to Arnie. 98% is good enough for me, and I'm not going to focus on the indefinable 2%. The berserker thread is in the toilet at the moment because of the weirdo accuracy trolls and certain peoples inability to accept what Hot Toys does. It's like reaktwon says... You want to critique figures and that's fine, but sometimes people are going to ask where you're coming from when you do, that's all.

Fine, ask me where I'm coming from and disagree if you want. I never had a problem with that, did anyone think I did??

Just lets not have any of this 'all you do is whine and complain' because sorry, you're wrong. :dunno

I too think the likeness is 98%, the only way we differ is that, yes, I will mention the 2% thats off.
