I've wanted a version of this sisne I was a kid, so waiting a while longer won't hurt. Hot Toys will do it someday, you can be sure of that.

Also it would be nice if SS would make this version for a PF figure. I am sure this will happen, the only question is when? By the way a new T-800 endoskeleton PF is a must too IMO and I hope SS will revisit this too.

I'd be fairly confident that if HT makes another T2 T-800 it'll have both heads. I don't have inside info, but I think its a safe bet.

Will it have all the cyberdyne gear is the real question. Now I'm fine and dandy with all my COOmodel gear but other people might still be hoping for HT to include their own.

I don't think I ever paid attention to the actual poll. I couldn't choose between T2 and T1. T1 is the slightly better film but T2 is the more merchandise-friendly film generally.

I'm still wondering if they even can make a Battle Damaged T-800 from either movie (not counting 3 and Salvation as cannon) and Kyle Reese. The T1 and T2 releases have been partnerships with Sideshow who I think is the official holder of the license, right? They need approval from Sideshow to make other figures from T1 and T2, right?
Please tell me I'm wrong.

I thought Studio Canal owns the license?

:slap

I'm not talking about the owner of the license, genius, but the company that paid the owner of the license for the rights to make and release 1/6 and larger toys and statues and stuff for that property.

Anyway, Little Guy, the assumption (confirmed?) has been that since all of the Hot Toys T2 figure official photos and the boxes have the Sideshow logo on them along with the Hot Toys logo, the figures were made in partnership with Sideshow who actually holds the license. Follow this logic further and Hot Toys may NOT have the T2 license at all, at least not Hot Toys itself. Hence what I said above.

Owkay.... :rotfl My guess is that the partnership between Studio Canal, Sideshow, and Hot Toys still stands, but why don't you ask THEM via email? Wouldn't that be your best bet, genius! :rotfl

That's not the question.

As I said, the question is "Does Hot Toys need permission from Sideshow to make a battle damaged T-800 from T-2, or might Sideshow be calling the shots entirely on the Hot Toys T2 line?" And I have e-mailed both Hot Toys and Sideshow and never heard ____. And for the record, I wasn't really asking anyone in this thread. It was more rhetorical than anything. Most people, besides you, would recognize that.

Jesus, no wonder you're so well liked around here. :rotfl:rotfl

Go and look up the definition of rhetorical. Try contacting them again, or wait for something official to be announced.

You're an astonishing person. Did you actually look up the definition of "rhetorical question?" Here it is:
A question asked solely to produce an effect or to make an assertion and not to elicit a reply.
I love that you suggested I email Sideshow and Hot Toys and then said "I'm not surprised they ignored you." Kind of makes me wonder why I'm not ignoring you, which is going to start happening really soon. Also, I have a degree in English, and I would suggest you study it. Keep posting those laughing icons; it helps show off your lack of understanding.
