I was thinking that as well, but are there even bodies out there for a 1/6 scale child that would be around Ellie's size? I can't recall ever seeing one, other than from CCToys first set.
I really hope for this company's sake, that they take it back to the drawing board. Otherwise this might be the first and last figure they ever make.

The CCToys Ellie set for the first game representation didn't come with a body. They suggested a TBLeague body for it. I think it was the 27b?

Yes the s27b works and phicen has released a few teen bodies since. Though i dont know where they fall in the scale. They have so many bodies its hard to keep up.

However, the head already looks undersized in these photos. Putting it on a bigger body will never work. So the whole figure is doomed anyway unless it improves in production.

Like @niekgrijz said, CCToys did not provide you a body for Ellie, she was basically a figure kit sold at the price of a full figure and you had to buy the smallest Phicen body available at the time. Sadly that body had a huge bust and to replicate Ellie's physique you had to mutilate the body or try to bind the chest as tightly as possible.

I think Toys Era's Ellie will feature a unique body for her but it's been a while since I heard anything from their side. LIM's Ellie also has a unique body specifically designed after the game model and even features a sculpted bite mark on her arm.

I was one of the unfortunate souls who bought the Redman Ellie.

IIRC, this was 2018 and the Redman was the only 1/6 Ellie option available at that time (before CC Toys), other than some expensive customs.

I had missed out on the Iminimne limited run a few years prior - that Joel/Ellie set were selling for well over a grand.

The Redman Ellie is in storage somewhere but i might use it one day in a pose where most of the front portion of the figure is creatively concealed and height/face is obscured - like when Joel embraces Ellie with a hug after the David scene.
