They are going to hype the David (Giants) VS Goliath (Pats) I agree.

I see the point spread is 13 1/2 (Pats obviously giving points).

You have to wonder what the TV ratings will be once you get beyond the northeastern coast of the US. Favre was at least a media story that could have helped set up the game --- now what do they have?

They have the possible 19-0 season to hype, the underdog Giants, the Manning brothers making it to back to back Superbowls.

The feelings of all the football fans in my office is that everyone will watch it but nobody seems to care who wins. Seems like we all hate both teams.

Well, I can walk to Giants Stadium from my house, so I'll root for my Giants. You still have to play 4 quarters of Football. Hey I can dream right?:D

I'm one of those that doesn't care for either teams at all.So i guess f' it let's watch history get made.

pats undefeated.

I just hope it's a close game and goes into double OT or something :)

Pats are falling into a pattern in the playoffs

First half, offense starts off slow then finds a rhythm, defense struggles to stop the passing game and forward advance of the opponent.

Second half, offense bursts open and defense stops the opponents in all areas of the game.

Granted, today the Pats were dominant on defense in the red zone, but they continued to allow a lot of passes that should have been broken up at the least, to let the Chargers into the red zone. I'm glad we're able to reduce teams to field goals within 10 yards of the end zone, but I'd feel safe if we held them out to the 30 yard line kicking field goals, and we're more than capable of it, they need to pick up the pass coverage a bit better.

Yeah, I agree with you there. It was pretty hard to watch in the first quarter, The Offense was struggling to get anything done and the Defense was just atrocious... at least we held them in the Red Zone.

I hope things get better with the Super Bowl. I know the team is pretty rough on themselves and will be able to work out their issues. They will be on a steady diet of Humble Pie until the game, that's for sure. :lol

Anyone else notice the completely crazy chicks with just bikini tops on at the Green Bay game. What the hell were they thinking.

Don't know, but they were pretty hot (well, not literally of course)... especially for Wisci chicks. :naughty

Check this news update, the Superbowl just got a hell of a lot more interesting:

Walking wounded: Brady spotted in cast
Monday, Jan 21, 2008 11:44 pm EST

AP
Fans of the New England Patriots had to be swallowing hard Monday when pictures of quarterback Tom Brady sporting a walking cast on his right foot surfaced.

A video taken of Brady in New York Sunday, which is available on TMZ.com, shows the NFL's MVP returning to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen's apartment. He's walking gingerly on the sidewalk after emerging from a black SUV parked on the street.

During his weekly appearance on WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan" show, Brady didn't dismiss the notion he had suffered some type of leg injury during Sunday's AFC Championship win. "Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," Brady said, when asked point-blank if he had a leg injury.

First off, I'm not concerned at all about Brady, if he says he's alright I'll take his word for it, with something like the SB coming I'm sure he's doing things just to take every precautionary measure not to turn a minor problem into something big. Secondly, the Chargers QB did quite well with an injury during the game, so injury doesn't mean inability. Thirdly, our offense was a threat without Brady at the top of his game, so I'm confident that even if he was that way again we can overcome it. With the better temperatures and some time to let himself heal, Brady'll show up to play and win come 2/3.

He didn't just have an injury. Rivers also had surgery that very same week. He kept it on the DL until a day after the game.

Brady Injured puts a big red bulleye on his back either way. While the New England offensive line is most impressive giving Brady what seems like a lifetime to throw a pass, the New York Defense is also impressive finding ways to get through eventually. Knowing that if Brady takes one really good hit it'll at least get him out temporarily I guarantee that will be New York's goal from the second the game starts.

I think Giants are going to have be more strategic though. Ya, they could go after Brady but if he's hurting enough, they'll take the pressure off him. Pats have Brady to contol a passing game and Maroney, Faulk, Welker and Stallworth to give them a solid run game. That's why the Pats have been so successful, they can compensate when one piece isn't work for them. They had to work around Brady's subpar performance in the AFC championship and it worked out. I'm not scared.

Anyone know the straight up Giants win odds?

I'm going to Vegas for soon and it might be worth a shot if the odds are like +300 or something.

Last time I checked the Patriots have 13 points over the Giants....I'd think that with the Brady injury talk whether or not it deflates the actual game will probably effect the point spread.

To anyone who doesn't think the Giants have a chance, I leave you with these tidbits to think of...

LA Times said:
* The Giants have won their last 10 road games. No other team in NFL history has done that.

Of course, six of those victories came against Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia and Buffalo. But the last three were playoff games at Tampa Bay, Dallas and Green Bay.

The Giants defeated the NFC's two best hopes on their home fields, including the Packers on Sunday in the league's third-coldest championship game on record. Regardless of how you feel about the NFC, the Giants deserve to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.

* Manning has not had a turnover during the postseason.

Breaking down that amazing sentence into statistical bits, Manning has thrown 85 passes this postseason, completed 53 to Giants and none to opponents. This is a better stretch than New England's Tom Brady, who had three interceptions during the Patriots' 21-12 AFC championship game triumph over San Diego.

* Final score from East Rutherford, N.J., Dec. 29, 2007: Patriots 38 Giants 35.

There is video evidence, captured fairly recently, that proves the Giants are capable of playing with the Patriots for four quarters, even leading them by 12 points with five minutes left in the third quarter. Manning threw four touchdown passes in that game, and seemed to develop new confidence -- almost a whole new on-field personality -- with the performance.

I surmise that being that the Giants came to within a field goal, are a much better team both offensively and defensively than that meeting, that they have a chance of not only hanging with but beating the Patriots. It will be a good game and I'm gonna cheer them on like crazy, I'm just sick of already hearing hat the Pats are gonna destroy them.
