I'm shocked with all the Ravens picks. I really don't see Belicheck losing twice to the same team in a season.

I'll be surprised to see NE loses at home. The SF vs ATL will be a tough one, but I'm taking the 49ers. I just hope it doesn't come down to a last minute field goal attempt by Akers cause he can't hit the broadside of a barn. :slap

Listening to the national media all week, especially the last couple days, a few themes seemed to emerge:

* "The Ravens aren't afraid of the Patriots, or of going into Foxborough." (Whatever that means. I think we all realize this isn't Hickory High we're talking about.)

* "Flacco has outplayed Brady in recent 'head-to-head' matchups." (Stupid point, each QB faces the other team's defense -- not its QB.)

* "This is a team of destiny because Ray Lewis, blah-blah..." (Not even worth discussing. Ngata isn't going to be thinking we have to win it for Ray late in the 3rd when the Ravens need a defensive stop)

I'm not really sure how much the previous meetings help much either. Bringing up the 2009 playoff game or even the game from this season doesn't tell you much since there have been changes on both sides. In the end the Patriots seem to be the better football team and if they play their game it should be a comfortable 10-14 point win.

I'm predicting the game will come down to a field goal, which is why I would take the points with Atlanta. I'm going Niners, though, for the win! :yess:
