Really? I assume you probably mean as a ST player too since he only had 14 receptions last year.

I felt that way with the Pats and Julian Edelman. He was huge on ST, but only had 21 receptions when he went down last year. He seemed like he finally turned the corner that people had been waiting since '09 for.

It's not the fact of him having 14 receptions which is still big in our offense. Our offense is no secret. We run first, and we run out of a bunch of different formations. But Kyle was a great decoy, great blocker, and you always had to be aware of where he was on the field. And it makes your team bring a safety up. This makes sure that there is a LB covering either Vernon or Delanie. Kyle was our swiss army knife after Ted Ginn decided he wasn't capable of being that for us.

I have to say I am pretty impressed in how he handled it at least with the media.

Wow, that really sucks. That agent should probably never work again in that capacity if this is true. I wonder if something like this will convince players to hire lawyers to double check and follow up on these agreements to avoid potential screw-ups like this in the future.

Or read your own contract and question every single thing you don't understand.

The agent has got to be pissed too, not only did he lose a lot of money by the player not earning that 2 mil plus he lost a player and had his name dragged through the mud.

Why blame the agent? The person signing any contract has the responsibility to understand his own contract when he signs it.

There is no way the player could understand a contract. Its the agents resposibility to tell him whats going on and what he needs to do... thats HIS job.

While I agree its the agents jobs to inform him, it still have to say if it were me and there was millions of dollars on the line I would either be asking what exactly I need to do in order to get every single cent in that contract. It seems way to often people get get burned by managers, agents, ect.. because they person gave 100% trust to those people he was paying and they either ripped them off or screwed them due to mistakes.

All the agent has to do is say "Hey, make sure you show up to the workouts so you can get your $2 mill bonus" I mean how stupid is the agent because now he doesn't get his 4% of that. Why wasn't he looking out for himself at least.

Agreed. Agents are no different than lawyers. It's their job to inform their client of all the parameters that affect them. That's why they get paid the big bucks. And let's face it half these athletes are barely literate anyways, like they are going to be able to read contracts and understand legalese :cuckoo:

Tarell Brown probably can't even read half the words on his contract. I can see him now looking it over with a dictionary in his right hand.

:lol

I was watching Lamar Miller in an interview the other day. I love the Dolphins but my goodness :monkey4

Dude could barely speak a complete sentence. Thank the lord he can play sports...

If I were Tarell Brown's former agent, I would be suing Brown for not making the training that cost me my share of the 2 million.
