I dont get why people seem more interested in this than the fact that Braun lied. He obviously lied to to his friends too. I can't fault Rodgers for defending his friend who he had obviously spoke to Braun and completely believed him.

He's on a downward spiral. I heard he's a witness in a murder trial as well. Not sure if he was in the wrong place or if he's friends with the wrong people. Hope its the first one.
