The thing with Philly is that Chip is going to have to modify the offense from what he ran at Oregon. He just doesn't have the number of personnel (53) that he had at Oregon (100+) and the team will get worn out 1/2 way through the season.

He also needs to learn how to milk the clock when he has a lead with 2 minutes left in the game.

:dunno

The Eagles were losing with little over 3 min left in the game, the FG tied the game.

I'm sick of all the throwbacks... might be nice to stop them for a few years. Some of those were just pathetic as hell.

The Chargers should be the only ones allowed to wear throwbacks. They are the only ones that truely look better.

Speaking of kapernick he is very over rated when its clutch time and he can't run and is forced to be a pocket passer he can't get it done just like the Super Bowl he had four chances to win it from the 6 yard line and we all know how that ended up A real qb would have got it done

Saying seattle my home town is filled with nothing but young Asians offends me and is racist if you ask me

Fair enough, but "two wrongs don't make a right." Previous offensive posts removed. Please refrain from potentially racist or homophobic remarks in this thread, or infractions will be forthcoming.

What defines clutch to you? He's shined in primetime games (again, not including Seattle). He brought us back in three straight playoff games. He got us to the Superbowl after only like 12 games as a starting QB. It's not easy to score in the redzone against good defenses. We should have ran the ball, but that's not Kaepernick's fault. Kaepernick did miss a wide open Delanie Walker, but he was also being blitzed in the face--something that happens to top QB's as well from time-to-time.

I mean if we're going to go down this road, Russell Wilson hasn't proven to be any more clutch then. He wins at home where they have the biggest advantage, but his Seahawks may have also been one-and-done if not for a RGIII injury.

They were not unstoppable :lol. And Garcia was a glorified game manager as well. He scrambled every once in a while but he was never on anyone's top ten list. He had great timing on the slant, but I would never ask him to throw a back shoulder fade or anything over the top. TO was great but TO was TO. And every time I think of Brandon Lloyd I think of him ducking under the ball.

Disagreed. They both had records on the 49ers that Montana/Young/Rice never set. The offense was explosive despite never really having a consistent, big game #2 receiver playing across from TO (after Rice left). Had they stayed together for a long time, their careers would have gone so much differently.

Brandon Lloyd sucked for the Niners. We also had no QBs to relly get him the ball. Or a line. But when he obviously had talent. You see what he's done those few years in Denver.

This is all truth. Kaepernick has proven so far to be as clutch as anyone else. Just last week Green Bay took the lead and he went and got it back. Century Link just makes opposing teams idiots. I would be dumbfounded too if I seen a little green man in the crowd screaming at me.

really? this team has no weapons and their line is banged up...and no Pouncey. how are they gonna get things going? no running game, one ok receiver...i think they are pretty screwed on offense. defense is old and not even close to what it used to be....but, good luck! :wave

I have seen the Steelers rebound from bad situations before. I agree with you about the "O" line and the defense. Not about the receivers or the center. I think they would be fine if the offensive line was working together better. The worst of the issues are the line on both sides of the ball. This is the Steelers. If a way can be found...Mike Tomlin will find it. If not...no big deal, we have a couple of rebuilding seasons and get back at it. Happens all the time in the NFL.

Wilson beat the bears on the road beat the redskins on the road in a hostile environment and single handily brought us back in the second half of the falcons game if it wasn't for us playing soft zone with 32 seconds we would have went on to win that game too. And your crazy to think that the NINERS would have beat us in that game ur lucky we lost to Atlanta because we would have stomped you guys out on your home field and you know that's the truth all you whiner fans are the same cant see truth:rotfl

So, wait, beating the Bears on the road and an RGIII-less Redskins team on the road makes Wilson more clutch than Kaepernick who beat the Saints and Patriots on the road? And the fact that the 49ers beat the team that you lost to? Not to mention Kaepernick led touchdown drives. You guys settled for a FG and lost. If he's so clutch he should have led them down into the endzone. You're "logic" makes me laugh in a way that it isn't supposed to.

We're not lucky that we beat them and you didn't. Like I said, the way RGIII was dictating the game when he was healthy, YOU"RE lucky you made it out of the wildcard round. And the Seahawks are beatable on the road and I don't think the Seahawks had a clear advantage at Candlestick. Once that fan noise is out of the picture, the 49ers can hurt the Seahawks in the run game like they did at Candlestick last year with Frank Gore and Alex Smith.

And I'm not dumb enough to generalize any team's fans being one way or another, but fans like you act like your team has done something when it hasn't. How many Lombardi trophies are in that trophycase in Seattle? If your goal was to beat San Francisco, than congrats, you won your Super Bowl two years in a row. Feel free to pound your chest when you want to talk about relevant success that will matter to us all, I don't know, at least six weeks from now? You think I'm talking trash to every other team because we won an NFC championship? Nope. At the end of the day, you either won that Super Bowl or you didn't.

Whether you think it's racism, or stereotyping, or simply an accurate reflection of demographics, the point was obviously offensive to some, so let's drop that issue please. There's enough bickering and conflict to be had here over actual football issues.

I was waiting for you to mention your Super Bowls from the 80s which this team had nothing to do with :rotfl but just admit seattle has your current teams number. The last three games with the current roster for both teams goes like this you barely beat us at your house13-6 with true rookie qb who still hadn't been unleashed yet not to mention we beat our selves with numerous drop passes (dont believe me rewatch the game) got humiliated 42-13 at our house Then got stomped again last week
Not to mention ur defense was way better than ours last year

But him basicly calling me a racist is ok?
