The most obvious poor missed call in the SF/Sea game was the Roughing the kicker call that wasn't called. The plant foot of the punter was hit and the call would have given fifteen and a new first. SF was up at the time and that drive could have totally changed the game.

That was a big miss. I say bring back the replacement refs. :lol

I argue that this changed the entire game, the momentum quickly shifted from that point on. Who knows if it wouldn't have come out the same way but given how close the game itself was I would say that it's important to note.

I love the Niners, I hate the Seahawks not a huge fan of Richard Sherman or Pete Carroll and wouldn't cry if they never got a ring for their time in the NFL (although the odds are unlikely that'll happen) but the game is done. There was some classless stuff done in Seattle with throwing food at Bowman but let's not forget our fans doing the wave and cheering when an opponent's team member was being carted off the field earlier in the season, it happens. Sherman is simply a touch of the WWE in the NFL and nothing more. He bad guy persona leaves the moment he is off the field and he writes articles going the other way. His whole "A lion doesn't care about the thoughts of sheep" stuff went away when he asked in his article this morning to look at his life off the field before making him a villain.

Seattle vs San Francisco will be a fun rivalry for a long time, it'll be one that defines both these new teams for a while too but that's all it is. I was angry at the missed calls, I was angry at Sherman, I was livid at the end of the game but that's passed, I'm looking forward to next season and am cheering for the Broncos in a couple of weeks. :lol

Lets not forget in the 2nd quarter 3rd and 12 the pass to Patton were he caught it then fumbled it Thurmand picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown it was a clear fumble but they said forward progress had been stopped when clearly it wasn't that was also a big play that went San Fran's way

Or the obvious encroachment penalty that should've went to the Seahawks but they somehow called us offsides. Plenty of ways to go about and nitpick. Bottom line is both teams played their hearts out, left everything on the field and as a fan win lose or draw I couldn't ask for a better game to see live. I respect San Francisco for their tough physical style of football we are mirror images of each other, it's just the coaching philosophy that differentiates each other, and I much prefer Pete Carroll's positive reinforcement approach, and his appreciation for fans and community that makes me a fan of the Seahawks.

I hope the Superbowl is as interesting and close as the NFC championship.
I hate blowout games. It's not fun to watch when it's one sided.

Super Bowls have sure been some thrillers lately....Bal/SF, NYG/NE, Pitt/Arizona...

And I agree, I thought the Niners got the raw deal from the refs way more. And the broadcasters clearly felt the same way. And most radio shows I listen to in my car have felt that as well. Didn't even think it was really close. But, regardless, the 49ers had a chance to win it with 20 seconds left and couldn't do it. And in all honesty, that sweet jump pass Kap threw for a TD to Boldin probably should have been intercepted. Just like Wilson's pass that went right through the hands of Eric Reid on that drive of that 51 yard pass.

Somebody had to lose that game. Wilson was trying to keep SF in it as much as he could but Kap and the rest of the team just got worse and worse in the second half.

I'm still shocked he threw that last pass to Crabtree when he had all that room in front of him to run with two timeouts left. He plays mentally like a rookie at times still. Poor guy must be awful.

Still proud to have him as my QB though. They need to coach him up to his upside.

He just get past his first read. But he sure can run fast

The throw was actually pretty good IMO. And it was just the awesome play of Sherman, first getting a hand on it just in time, and then knocking it up into the air for the INT, that was responsible for what happened. But sure, maybe he was trying to do too much, too quickly with 2 timeouts left.

I think the decision was good, the throw was decent. It took a great play to knock it away, it was bad luck it ended up where it could be intercepted. The throw should have been put in a spot where only Crabtree could get his hands on the ball or it would sail out of bounds incomplete. Crabtree should never had to be reaching back to make the catch he should have been reaching towards the boundary.

Kap is not an accurate passer, he is great athlete but until he can learn to be accurate from the pocket he will struggle in these situations.

The throw would have definitely gotten to Crabtree if not a nice read by Sherman. Just the decision. Patton was clearly a safe checkdown. Boldin did get open but Kaepernick obviously wasn't trying to hold onto that ball.

He needs to get through his reads. That needs to be his sole offseason focus. That is the only flaw in his game as of now. He's dangerous, he's tough, he can play in bad weather, he's a playmaker, has tough skin, and now has experience. He's a very solid human being. There isn't much to dislike, but he does need to scan the field more. That's it.

If that was Megatron running that route, okay, I throw a jump ball (still needed to be higher over Sherman of course). But for whatever reason Kap loves the fade pass to Crabtree to win big games when in reality Crabtree usually isn't that much bigger than DB's to really win those battles like that. In the redzone, they should have gone bunch formation and let Crabtree and Boldin do slants and Davis run the post in the endzone. He's the fastest and biggest target. Seattle likely uses safety help to cover him and than Boldin/Crabtree have space t at least get a first down (if not more) and if they aren't Kap should have some daylight to run plus a blocker.

But I'm not a coach.

I saw a photo someplace of that route. It was just like the INT he tossed earlier but later completed a similar pass. If he just puts a little more air under it then the thing gets caught but he put it on too much of a string and it gets knocked down/INT. He's gotta learn and I hope he does I want a 6th title for this franchise pretty bad.

^I'm with you there.

And I do think he's capable. Our secondary still isnt quite there. I watch the Seahawks take so many weapons away on a weekly basis they don't even seem human on the backend. But for us, all it took was that one big gaffe and it's a 50 yard completion against us just like that.

I agree. Their DB play is unreal and if we can get something going there I don't know how you can stop this team.

How do you guys think the weather is going to affect the game?

They're forecasting an 18-degree day and I hope it doesn't snow.
I'm not going to enjoy watching that. :(

The worse the weather, the more advantage goes to Seattle IMO. Having said that, Manning has been playing a lot in Denver by now, and has won a couple of playoff games in less than ideal weather, so who knows?

The worse the weather the better for the Seahawks. Manning's 2 wins to get to Jersey have been 40/mild and 60/sunny. Not exactly the worst Denver weather he could have had.

What they just showed on ESPN say High 39 low of 28. 30% chance of snow and 5 mph wind.
