No I just hate when teams think they're better than the players who pour their blood sweat and tears for a team and just discard them like cheap cattle. Football is the worst sport to play as far as player safety/benefit ratio, and the fact that none of their contracts are guaranteed. I'd like the patriots a whole lot more if they'd show their players more respect and actually pay their players. If you don't have anyone better to replace the people you are letting go because they want more money for I don't know maybe being a top 5 player at their position the last 5 years, then you deserve everything you got coming to you.

I like Tom Brady and it just seems like the last 5 years they've been slowly gutting all the talent out of their offense and not replenishing it through the draft properly. Yeah he's on the decline but give Peyton, Aaron Rodgers or Brees that talent and they wouldn't do diddly squat either.
If it's so bad why do so many two sport athletes pick football over the other sport? The last player I can think if that would have had a career in football and picked another sport was samardzija. And it's on the players that there are no guaranteed contracts. And as far as Welker I don't think he wanted to stay.

Salary cap is jumping 9-15 mil a year, you're telling me you can't give an extra 2-3 mil for your 1-2 pro bowl players for the next 5 years? I especially feel sorry for Tom Brady after did the team a favor and cut out like 10mil in salary cap for them to re-sign Wes Welker and they let him walk lol

They offered Welker more money than Denver. His agents overplayed their hand and he ended up leaving. There are also rumors that he and Belichick weren't on the best terms at the end.

Logan Mankins is probably the 2nd best guard in team history, however he is 32 has had a ton of injuries and was very much a case of diminishing returns especially at his current salary. Trading him this season was probably one too soon.

As for the cap, $8 million of it this year is being taken care of by that really talented piece of the offense sitting in prison.

And the Pats are the only team to do this?

It's a business, I don't see a gun to any of the players heads. I'm pretty sure we would all sign up for one of those no guarantee contracts

The line is only at 1.5 for the Bengals this has to shift to 7 by Sunday, don't see how the Pats have a chance they look awful

That guy is terrible. I can't believe he's still a head referee. I also can't believe the Saints are one game out of first place in their division. NFC South is pretty bad :lol

I would say Broncos, Seattle, and. . .that's about it. Though tonight's game
.
I am not sold on Sea away from home. Den seems to be what we think they are but we saw how that ended.

If SD didn't keep losing players to injury left and right i would have more faith. But 4th center in 5 games is scary.

Well, they may not be unstoppable juggernauts without their respective kryptonites (Seattle sometimes falters on the road like the Saints; Peyton chokes on the biggest stages), but I think it's safe to say that both are good.

Not trying to sound like a whiner but does anyone else think the refs this year are incredibly horrible? On every game there is ridiculous calls this year for every team.

Might not want to whine to much, your DBs get plenty of the new NFL darlings non calls. And if your talking about this game I would say it really sounds like whining as I haven't seen much to back that up.

There were a few this game but I'm talking overall. Obvious personal foul with garceon holding sherms mask the whole way down , Unger didn't do **** to get that false start call, that's just this game. Watching yesterday's games was bad to bad spots and whatnot

I hope that was just the two weeks off and Washington playing with some heart because Seattle looked very sloppy. And yes there were some TERRIBLE calls tonight for both sides.

Whoa don't say that. Mfoga will call you out since he's the all knowing here. Every game had been called perfectly besides the non calls on Seahawks.
