I'm a huge Carolina fan but I know Denver can win the game. Denver's secondary looked very good against Brady and their weapons and they have a strong running attack. The key will be if Carolina can get a nice lead and force Denver to become pass oriented in an attempt to catch up. One thing that should help Carolina is that they don't have to fear the deep ball which has burnt them in other games. I don't think Peyton doing his sink and dunk passes will work against us.

I think Denver can win. Their D is that good. They destroyed the Pats o line and didn't even really blitz. They played 7 back in coverage against a lot of really good weapons, they don't have to do that against the Panthers. They bring more pressure and as long as they are disciplined Cam won't be able to get away. Cam isn't as fast with passes as Brady and Brady didn't have time on most his passes.

manning just needs to make some plays , don't turn the ball over and do a good job controlling the game with his mind making checks. Let the D do their job and win the game.

You guys that don't like Cam better get used to him. He is and will be the new face of the NFL for several years.

Yeah, I've heard that many times with many players over the years.. I won't hold my breath. Although I will say in two weeks I'll probably hate him a little less because at least then he will have earned his arrogance.

Like who...Wilson, RG3, Cap, Luck??? All the guys in the "know" put Cam last when comparing the next gen QBs. All the analyst used to give him hell when he'd go sit on the bench with his towel on his head. Cam isn't a team player they'd say....geez. Now that he is having fun many want to say he is an arrogant jackass. The guy is having fun and is the reason why Carolina is rolling. He needs to win the Super Bowl and get that ring to become The Guy though. Wilson has one so he has to match that. Brady is the best ever but the mantle for the next generation is about to begin. A true Game of thrones.

That's my point. Now everyone says that about Cam just like they did about those other guys and none of them seem to "stick." We'll see what happens over the next few years when Ginn, and Olsen and Luke all want their huge paydays and Carolina cant afford them. We'll see when injuries hit and coaches leave... we'll see how Cam handles all that. I will give him credit for maturing over the last couple years but they haven't had much adversity lately... and it will come.

Ok, so I have 2 weeks to come to terms with ass clown Cam Newton winning a Super Bowl. I hope it's enough time. :)
:lol

I was sure Brady was going to somehow pull it off at the end of that game. He's just a superhuman football throwing machine in situations like that. But. . .I'm glad he went down. Manning gets one more chance to save his legacy, by showing that he won't fold in the biggest games. But here, he'll have to overcome age and injury to do it. I don't think the game is a foregone conclusion as others here do. The Pats were no creampuff of a team, and the Broncos beat them. Yeah, Carolina dominated the Cards, and the Seahawks in the first half. But they also struggled against the lowly Saints, lost to the lowly Falcons a few weeks' prior, and gave up entirely on the Seahawks in the second half. Maybe it was because those games didn't matter much, but it demonstrates to me that the Panthers are uneven, and the fact that you never know who you're going to see on either side of the field on a given week.

I'm hopeful that Cam loses because I never liked him and still don't. But, you can't deny that he's been the man this year. He has turned into a strong leader, he makes good decisions, he wills his team to win in clutch situations (see the Saints game). If he wins, he'll deserve acclaim for getting his team there and finishing it. Doesn't hurt that the Panthers have a great defense this year, though.

Don't forget all the free agents they have to resign some who will be making 10x what they now do in Norman.

Panthers have been under the radar much of the year, and I don't know if people understand the extent to which they can just maul people on both sides of the line. You don't accidentally go 17-1.

Kawann Short is a world-wrecker at NT who will eat up that Bronco interior line, who struggled against the Patriots. Carolina flows to the ball better than any defense Denver has faced and I'll be shocked if they put up more than 17 points. On offense, the Panthers run the most complicated running sets of any team in the league and have a Gronk-lite zone splitter in Olsen. Newton's scrambling ability will extend plays and convert first downs where Brady could not.

I've got the Panthers in a rout: 34-10. Gonna be a long day for HGH head.

Luke and Olsen won't be going anywhere. Ginn will only be kept on the cheap end. Marty Hurney got the Panthers in Cap hell but Dave Gettleman is doing a fantastic job. Norman I really doubt stays. He declined a contract extension over the summer and he wants big money.

I can't wait for old noodle arm to lose to the Panthers. His legacy will and forever be 1-3 LOL. That one Super Bowl win coming against Rex Grossman LOL

Go Cam!

I didn't mean them specifically but Super Bowl wins bring greed. You may not lose key guys right away but you can lose depth like Seattle did and that can hurt too. I hope for your sake it doesn't happen but be ready for it.

I didn't go out of my way to watch their non-Saints games (apart from the nationally televised primetime stuff), but both games were won by a single score. And the Saints were a mediocre team. Sure, divisional games can sometimes be tougher than they should be just because they're divisional games, but Carolina looked far from invincible this year at times. Instead, they were a good team that knew how to win, sometimes convincingly. Superbowl is far from a lock.

Olson won't be a UFA until 2019. and by then will be close to retirement. Luke is here through 2021, locking him up for a while. I think we'll franchise Norman next year and then he'll end up walking the following year for more money. KK will then need to be paid. And I would lock up Coleman too, dude is a stud.

I'd guess that'll be what happens with Norman. Maybe he'll take a good offer if they win a ring. KK needs to be locked up. That guy is Jenkins 2.0 just a beast. Gettleman is doing a great job. He has found cast away talent and has drafted very well.
