I didn't mean them specifically but Super Bowl wins bring greed. You may not lose key guys right away but you can lose depth like Seattle did and that can hurt too. I hope for your sake it doesn't happen but be ready for it.

Youth didn't help Seattle either. They won with so many under rookie contracts that they had to start paying a lot more for those same players.

Super Bowl 48 was Denver (who defeated the Pats in the AFC title game) vs Seattle. Seattle went on to win.

Super Bowl 49 was New England vs Seattle. New England went on to win.

Super Bowl 50 is Denver (who defeated the Pats in the AFC title game) vs Carolina. Carolina will win.

Super Bowl 51 will be New England vs Carolina. New England will win.

This pattern shall come true and the Patriots shall be Super Bowl 51 Champions :lecture:lecture:lecture

New England has a lot of rebuilding to do

I don't know that I'd call it rebuilding. They have needs at OL, WR and RB. After a few cuts they'll have quite a bit of cap room to play with. With the weak AFC I don't see how they're not pretty much back where they were this past year unless Brady falls off a cliff.

Quick wish list:

-Keep Akiem Hicks, who's a UFA
-Replace Blount with someone who wasn't semi-retired
-Replace LaFell with.. oh what the hell go get Megatron if cut by Detroit, and negotiate a Moss-like deal (Pipe dream, I know)
-Shore up depth on the OL, especially at the tackle
-Restructure Solder (currently at $11.2m cap hit with $4.2m dead cap)
-Take flyers on future contracts to someone like WR Griff Whalen (former Colt, of the botched punt fame)
-Extend both Hightower & Collins

Get OL help.

Try to get Megatron. If not, get rid of LaFell and sign Sanu or Boldin

Try to get Lynch. If not, get rid of Jackson/Blount and sign CJ Anderson. Brady really likes him and Denver might let him leave.

Get some DL help.

Yeah, it doesn’t hurt that the Patriots can pretty much guarantee at least a 5-1 record in division every year. What are they up to like 15 years in a row winning the AFC East?

I really liked what I saw from Malcom Brown this year, he should only improve going forward. Dom Easley had really started to come around this season, but he got hurt again which has been his issue since he was a Gator.

13/15 now with Brady. The only misses were '02 and '08. Both times they finished tied with eventual division winner and missing due to tiebreakers. Also both instances had scenarios where they would have made it if Brett Favre could have lead his teams to wins in week 17 games.

How can any employee of the Bills, Jets or Dolphins even show their faces at any kind of league function when none of them can win their division outright FOR 15 YEARS? That’s 0-45. And the sad thing is I don’t see that changing for at least 2-3 more years.

Dolphins won in 2008 when Brady was out for the year.

as much money that he has, it seems it's not worth the beating his body takes anymore. Maybe taking a year off will change his mind.

Players are making more now, and are smarter as far as the possible post career issues they may have. Patrick Willis walked away last year, now Calvin Johnson, two great players in their respective positions. I wonder if this will become the norm.
