I think he should have waited a lot longer. Any Super Bowl winning head coach deserves to go in eventually..... but it seems like a quick turnaround. What was it... 6-7 years it took for him to go in?

Let's not go overboard here Barry Switzer and Mike McCarthy should be paying full admission when it comes to getting into Canton. As for Dungy he's a borderline case that I didn't see as a surefire HOFer. His numbers resemble those of George Seifert who has another ring and nobody is beating the drum for him.

I'm as big a Buccaneers fan as there is and I don't think Dungy deserves to be in. He was a great guy and a good coach. Not a HOF coach. Jimmy Johnson 2 rings.... No HOF.

A bit of a ding on Dungy with the Bucs case. He gets fired and his successor wins the SB the very next year with pretty much the same team.

To me that's positive, because what did Gruden do after he won the Super Bowl? Pretty much nothing. That tells me Dungy would have gotten Tampa Bay there if they had kept him.

I dont think so but I think it was a part of it. I am not saying it's a bad thing either. He was the first black head coach to win a super bowl and he had a good resume that combo got him in.

I would bet he wants to say its only because he is black. But Dungy has said bad things about he beloved perfect best ever patriots and patriots players so he is a horrible person and mush never get anything good.
