So the trade deadline is coming. What should Cleveland do, keep tanking so they get a #1 Draft Pick for a QB, or trade some picks and try to get someone like Cutler, or possibly Romo, who knows to savage the season. Considering the division, I think the Browns should just fold the season and draft a QB

Salvage what? They have to go undefeated to have a winning record and likely still miss the playoffs.

:lol IKR, well at least give the fans something to have hope for

They got Lebron
If the Indians do it tomorrow there you go
Buckeyes are tanking

So at least have hope for the Browns

Hmmm. Weird. Norv Turner just resigned as the Vikings OC. Wow. He was given credit for Bradford's turnaround in the Vikes 5-0 start.

I'm pretty baffled by the Collins trade. I'm not a fan of the trade, or the return. Can't believe they couldn't get at least a 2nd rounder.

Long term view, coming into the season they had to resign Hightower, Collins, Jones, Butler, Sheard, & Ryan. Now Collins is gone, Jones is gone, and Ryan is being demoted. Plenty of money to go around now.
I wouldn't question the Pats' front office. We surely don't have full information. Those guys have done that work better than any other NFL team over the past 15 years or so.

It's the Patriot way. :) Belichick got rid of a potential problem before it got bigger. I read somewhere that Collins was quoted as saying that he wanted "Von Miller" money. Also, as the resident Patriot fan, perhaps Grenouille can comment better on this, but there were grumblings that Collins was freelancing. I believe on their second play from scrimmage, the Bills ripped off a 28 yard gain and it was attributed to Collins NOT being where he was supposed to be. :dunno

That was a pretty glaring play in the game Sunday. According to reports Belichick had "words" for him when he came back to the sideline. Aside from the Houston game, Collins was quietly having an off year. When he wan't making a highlight reel play he had a tendency to disappear for long stretches. This Buffalo game was the first game where his snap count plummeted and he had been effectively replaced by Elandon Roberts.

I liked Collins, but now that he's gone from the team you step back and remember there were some warts. The biggest was probably the freelancing and his sometimes questionable coverage skills. In SB49 he got beat by Marshawn Lynch for a huge gain on Seattle's final possession. In last year's AFC title game he got burnt 2x by the corpse of Owen Daniels for touchdowns.

I think today cleared up the byes in the AFC. The Pats and the winner of the AFC West should be clear favorites.

This is to me shows the Tony Romo bias and how he unfairly gets criticized. Everyone points to Romos 2-6 playoff record.

Marty "Ice" was the third overall pick and his playoff record is 1-5, yet the critics point to Romo's (an undrafted QB) 2-6 postseason record.

Saints are rolling now..too bad Falcons have pretty much sealed the NFC South :lecture

I can't understand how Detroit is so inconsistent every week :pfft:

The Rams..maybe it's time to part ways with Fisher :lecture

While he's definitely a Hall of Fame player, and can still be effective as a run blocker, Jason Witten is entering the twillight of his career. Still, I can imagine Bill Belichick at least nodding knowingly if he ever saw video of Jamie Collins being burned by Witten for a TD.
