Nobody is going to give up anything higher than a 4th round pick for a washed up injury prone quarterback who has barely played the past two seasons.

Anything more than a 6th round pick seems foolish to me. To be honest, if I'm GM on a team, the only way I'd sign him is as a free agent. It's only a matter of time until he gets hurt again.

OK, so here are my thoughts on today. I think the time off played a role in the Cowboys slow start. The D was overwhelmed in the 1st half of the game and I'm impressed with how tough the O hung in and finally made it a game. Penalties were also a problem for Dallas. Also, coaches and players should always be aware of game situations. How do you give Rodgers that much time on the final pass and how do you let any player get open along the sidelines 30 yards or more down the field? If someone gets open underneath...who cares? You make the tackle and play for OT. The only thing that can kill you is the deep pass and that's exactly what the D gave up. All those things need to be addressed by the Cowboys.

I think GB is going to beat ATL. Pack will jump out to another big lead and Falcons just won't be able to hang with them. It looks like the only team that Ryan can beat in the playoffs is Seattle.

The KC/Steelers game was painful to watch. I'm a big Steelers fan but seeing them fail to score a TD all game long is a problem. So is Big Ben's ability to go all Romo at the wrong times. IMO, he's too loose with the rock at crucial moments in the game. Against good teams in the playoffs, that can cost you big.

I see Brady protecting the rock next Sunday and doing enough to tip the Steelers. Ben will make just one or two mistakes more than he should and that'll cost the Steelers the game.

I agree with most of your points but I also have to remphasize that experience also played a huge part. Greenbay has proven time and time again that they can win on the road in any environment, dome, indoor stadium or out in the worst weather conditions in the playoffs. That don't have to be in Lambeau.

Steelers also are an exceptional road winning team as well.

Atlanta is a horrible road team especially in the playoffs. They beat Seattle yesterday because Seattle has a mediocre road success in the Wilson era. And Ryan is smoking in the dome.

The Atlanta defense is still suspect IMO. I do think Packers can beat them in the dome. Because of #12

As for Steelers, if Bell has a game like today, that's how they will win..it's not up to Ben this time to win the game. The defense has to be lights out on Brady . But like you I agree that Pats will go to the SB because Bellichick is a master at taking away the opponents best players. Brady is so fundamentally sound that the Pittsburgh defense really got to rattle him for the Pats to lose the game

#12 is the driving force of the Pack and it's only true difference maker. The Pats will just be smart on Sunday. They'll focus and the Steelers best weapons and play pretty much error free football with Brady. The game will probably come down to a turnover or 2 at a critical time and unfortunately, that's practically a given with Ben. He had another pick in the end zone today. He had 2 against Miami. That story just continues with Ben. Only way the Steelers win is with an outstanding defensive game plan and tremendous amounts of pressure on Brady.

And Bell running amuck. They went against probably one of the most patented defenses all season long in KC for the AFC but Bell still shredded them bad :lecture

It sucks to go 13-3 and not win a playoff game, but I pretty much saw this coming. Football Jesus is walking on water right now and there's just no stopping him. Oh well...fun year and there is some hope going into the future. Time to start gearing up for spring training.

KC's D is deceptive. They give up plenty of yardage, but don't give up TD's. Sure enough, Bell got his yards but he and the Steelers O didn't see the endzone the entire game. Next weeks match up in New England is going to be a fun game to watch for me personally. It's the only one I'll be watching since I utterly despise the Pack.

Drawing the Steelers as their 1st playoff game is tough. If they could have got their feet wet against Houston, they may have been able to build some momentum. It was a tight game regardless. KC definitely had their chances at the end of the game. Everything was going their way until the holding call on the 2 point conversion. Also, the problem with a D that gives up yards but not points is when you HAVE to stop the O to get the ball back, you can't give up a 1st down like they did. Either way, these were two pretty evenly matched teams. One just made a couple of more plays and won the game. Keep in mind though, there's no shame in losing to teams like the Pats and the Steelers. I find it funny how everyone in the media is blowing up the Pack and Rodgers running the table comment and winning streak. However, hardly no is talking about how the Steelers quietly have won one more game than the Pack during their streak. Steelers have peeled off 9 wins in a row.

I was talking about the Cowboys but same difference I guess.

Will this one actually be real or imagined like the last one?

Speaking of winning streaks, the Pats also have an 8 game one going.

Everyone under the sun just keeps gunning and hating for the Pats. It's the sustained success of the franchise that seems to drive non-Pats fans nuts. NO team come close to the success of the Pats. Who else has 6 SB appearances over the last 15 or so years? Hell, which team even has 4? I think the Steelers and Big Ben are next with 3 SB appearances. Now look at the cold fact that the Pats could have beat the Colts in '07 and the Broncos last year (I believe Bill passes on 2 chip shot FGs to go for 1st downs unsuccessfully and they lose by 2). They were some questionable coaching calls from being in another 2 SBs. All that aside, if they make it this year, that's 7 SB appearances by Bill and Tom. Seriously, that's just stupid success and haters are going to reach for whatever they can get their hands on to bring the Pats down.

Believe me when I talk with other Pats fans these things come up. It's like picking at a scab. The '06 AFC title was theirs for the taking and they fell apart in the second half. Rex Grossman waiting on the other side and they let it slip through their fingers. Last year Gostkowski missed his first XP in a decade which left them going for 2 at the end. Watching the replay was a bit frustrating when you see Brady try forcing it to Edelman when Gronk is wide open in the back of EZ. The Giants games speak for themselves.

Teams of other franchises can be happy knowing that this run can't last forever and probably will wrap up in the next 3-4 years. The Patriots will go back into the pack with other also ran teams that were once the league standard bearers. For the time being I'll enjoy it for all it's worth.

I wonder what the next Gate will be. :lol

" Don't bother with it Gate "

" Don't even bring it up Gate "

Because chances are it will lead to nothing for the Pats franchise and they still get the last laugh on godell :lecture
