Sigh. Such is the life of a Dallas fan.

Great season. Instead of facing a small championship game window like after the 2014 Divisional loss to Green Bay, the championship window remains open.

I consider myself a realistic sports fan. I don't get so emotionally invested because at the end of the day, I have the important things in life: my family, my health, and happiness. But I allowed myself to believe this year. It's a moot point now, but the Super Bowl falls on my birthday this year. Dallas winning a championship game would have been a great present. Ah, such is life.

How cool would that have been?
Even if the pack doing kick that field goal they still had a good shot in OT
The Dallas d just ran into a good offence

I wish I felt like you do. I have no hope for this team. They could have won today if they didn't commit stupid penalties. They always find ways to lose, it's what they do best. That's 5 straight divisional games they've lost and they haven't been in the NFC Championship in 21 years. Will they make the playoffs again next year? Maybe, but I'm sure they'll find a way to lose like they always do.

Very true..Dallas kind of lucked out this season, despite the fantastic record this season, a lot of NFC teams imploaded IMO

Minnesota will get Bridgewater back and I think with that defense they might be SB contenders. Philly could have a better year with Wentz next season as well.

I have no doubt Seattle will be back in the playoffs next season and who knows if Saints make some defensive moves they can be in the mix again as well. :lecture

I felt all game that this was Packers time .. and because of Minnesota next season, I still think this was Packers and might be Packers last chance to go to the SB because I truely think it will come down to Vikes and Pack for the North title next season :lecture

If Brady played like he did yesterday I'd be pretty worried about this vicious Steelers Defense coming to Foxboro :horror

Packers run the table to get into the postseason.

Steelers run the table to get into the postseason.

Atlanta and New England will have something to say about it, but maybe Green Bay and Pittsburgh are on a collision course to meet in a Super Bowl rematch? Six years ago the Packers beat the Steelers at AT&T Stadium.

Another example why experience like the Pack and Pittsburgh will always beat momentum teams like this era of Dallas and Chiefs in the playoffs :lecture

Yeah, you sort of contradict yourself...running the table to get into the post season is the very definition of momentum...

The just stopped the best O-Line & RB in the league, what more you want.

Zeke ran for 125. I wouldn't call that stopping. What stopped the Cowboys was their weak ass D. They gave up a 21-3 lead to start the game. You can't focus on your running game when your D puts you in that kind of hole. When a game is tight you can afford to run and control the clock. When you're down by multiple TDs just after kick off...you have to throw to get back in the game. The Boys basically lost this game on GBs first few offensive drives.

:exactly:

Rodgers is god, but that has to be the worst pass defense by the cowboys I've ever seen in a Cowboys game all season. For them to give up so many yards with a game of this magnitude is just ridiculous.

On the flipside the Pack defense was just as horrible but Rodgers is special.

Packers win not taking anything away from Dak's performance :lecture

Not only am I worried about the defense of the Pack going to Atlanta, I'm pissed they gave away all their defensive tricks in this game and the Falcons can study this game footage preparing.

Also we need to remember Dan Quinn was the Seattle DC in the LOB era and there is no way Micah Hyde is going to get an easy interception like he did with Dak against Matty Ice. Matty Ice knows how to control the offense.

The packer defense will have no answer for Freeman and Coleman. :slap

I still think Packers can win in Atlanta, but it all depends on #12 :lecture

OK, so here are my thoughts on today. I think the time off played a role in the Cowboys slow start. The D was overwhelmed in the 1st half of the game and I'm impressed with how tough the O hung in and finally made it a game. Penalties were also a problem for Dallas. Also, coaches and players should always be aware of game situations. How do you give Rodgers that much time on the final pass and how do you let any player get open along the sidelines 30 yards or more down the field? If someone gets open underneath...who cares? You make the tackle and play for OT. The only thing that can kill you is the deep pass and that's exactly what the D gave up. All those things need to be addressed by the Cowboys.

I think GB is going to beat ATL. Pack will jump out to another big lead and Falcons just won't be able to hang with them. It looks like the only team that Ryan can beat in the playoffs is Seattle.

The KC/Steelers game was painful to watch. I'm a big Steelers fan but seeing them fail to score a TD all game long is a problem. So is Big Ben's ability to go all Romo at the wrong times. IMO, he's too loose with the rock at crucial moments in the game. Against good teams in the playoffs, that can cost you big.

I see Brady protecting the rock next Sunday and doing enough to tip the Steelers. Ben will make just one or two mistakes more than he should and that'll cost the Steelers the game.

At the end of the day, the Boys/GB game came down to a couple of plays. Rodgers made them, Dallas didn't. To be honest, until Ryan and the Falcons beat another team in the playoffs besides Seattle, I'll always have my doubts with that team. They were one of the best teams in football back in 2010 and the Pack just rolled them over at home in the playoffs that year. I'm having that same vibe for next Sunday in the ATL. We'll see what happens.
