I got to give Mahomes credit.

He impressed me more with this game than he did in his first 3 games. It's easy to hit open WRs when you have a clean pocket to throw the football. Today he faced a serious test. He was off the mark in the 1st half and was mediocre at best. He showed up big in the 2nd half and made plays all over the field under serious pressure. He was deadly accurate when he rolled out and did a great job eluding pressure. This is what real playoff football looks like. Tough hard nosed D not giving an inch and having to earn every first down. It was a great game and Mahomes showed he can play when the cards are down and the game is on the line. He looks like he's going to be a special QB for years to come.

The flip side is there is some serious issues with the Chief’s defense . At this time, no way do I agree they are the best team in the NFL. That defense is going to be their weakness .

For now..I think the Rams have the best complete team.

Next big threat for KC is Jags D :lecture

An interesting SB matchup..Rams vs KC ....can you imagine that :lol

I agree with you. KC's D can be a serious problem this season. However, it looks like they've got the QB position set for many years to come. That's ALWAYS the biggest obstacle a team has to overcome to have a chance at being successful. Over the next year or 2, all they need to work on is their D. The Rams were in a similar spot last year. That's why they went all in with Suh, Talib, and Peters this year.

Looks like business as usual for the Pats trouncing the Colts ..flipping back and forth with Dodger playoff game :lol

The NFC North is just a cluster f### :thud: with Packers, Vikes, Lions and the Bears on top ?

love the NFC South though with the Panthers and Saints in a dog fight for top and Falcons dead last :lol

What a weekend for NY..Yankees win..Buffalo wins..Jets win ..well Giants almost won..but still :lol

That Browns fg ..fugly :rotfl

Ravens piss me off..Bugles are practically running away with the AFC North right now :pfft:

If Chiefs can beat Pats, then I don’t know who can stop them in the AFC, even with that defense :dunno

It's still early in the season. The North will shake out in the end. Vikes got a big win today and GB can't be written off yet. The Bears still have a ton to prove with their offense and are still capable of losing all of their remaining division games. Bears still have to play the Vikes and Lions twice and GB one more time. They haven't had much success at all with those teams for years now. The North is still very much up for grabs.

I think that's less of a factor with Mahomes under center. The kid isn't choking and looks like the real deal. He's a difference maker.

They could be different this year, but I've seen the Chiefs win September Lombardis before. I think this coming Sunday will tell us a bunch about if the '18 Chiefs are pretenders or contenders.

An analyst made a good point about weather effecting a team and I agree, when it gets colder and the weather starts to change for the worse in the upcoming months and QBs can’t throw the ball accurately , it’s going to take the rest of the team to make a difference. So let’s see how Mahomes is in snow or blizzard conditions. That’s why I can’t jump on the Chief’s bandwagon with that defense yet.

What’s good for Mahomes, is that KC has bad weather as well in the winter, so as a 2nd year starter he might be able to adapt better than the other rookies this year.

I think Mahomes, Darnold, Mayfield, Tribitsky , Rosen maybe even Goff might have a challenge when the weather changes :lecture

They don’t have the experience that Brees, Ryan, Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Cousins, etc have playing in different conditions
