Insane spectacle of what the NFL wishes every week was like. Also the death of professional football according to some curmudgeons.

There was 105 points scored in this game. You'd think that there was no D played today. Ironically enough, both Ds got plenty of turnovers and even scored. This game was unreal.

This is a game where one looks at the box score and says Mahomes cost his team the win. While turnovers obviously hurt, they have to be taken in context; those last two interceptions he threw were because he was under duress and running away from the rush.

The fact of the matter is that every QB needs his defense to step up and make plays: Exhibit A: Malcolm Butler’s goal line interception in SuperBowl XLIX. The Rams defense made plays when they needed to; KC defense made some plays as well (including a defensive TD), but didn’t make the key play that counted: Orlando Scandrick’s non-interception on the Ram’s go ahead touchdown drive. The ball and game was in his hands. Scandrick makes that INT, and Mahomes doesn’t have those other two INTs.

It’s funny, after Scandrick got burned for two early TDs, I thought to myself “he’s going to have another chance to make a play to decide this game”. He got his chance alright, but couldn’t make that play.

3 Ints, 2 fumbles. 2 were scoring plays. Even the one where he was hit as throwing at the end, he has to be more pocket aware.

These weren't 'receiver tipped it up' turnovers.

The pick 6 was tipped and one of the best plays I have seen in a while to catch that ball. Live I was like wait WTF he caught that ball.

Agreed, but I was specifically referring to his last two INTs. And the one he was hit when throwing at the end? Can’t fault him on that one, he’s trying to make a plan with time against him. Taking the sack would’ve effectively ended any chance they had.

The pick six was on Mahomes...though Ebukam made an incredible catch.

The fumbles were Aaron Donald being a freaking monster with blindside sacks.

In their nine wins, the Chiefs have scored 313 points, for an impressive average of 34.8 points per game. In their two losses, they've scored 91 points, or 45.5 points per game. Let that sink in for a minute.

2013 Broncos - 606 points scored

2018
Chiefs - 404 (5 games remain)
Rams - 389 (5 games remain)
Saints - 378 (6 games remain)

Crazy that 3 teams could realistically break the season point total. Maybe they don't want to though. Both the '13 Broncos and '07 Patriots lost the SB.

The strange thing is that I heard some experts say this could be repeated in the SB if it is these two teams in the end .

I seriously don’t think so. Even if it is the Rams vs Chiefs in the SB, they probably can’t put up this many points again.

The defenses will be more prepared as well as each team’s DCs

I see the run game for both teams being more of a factor if they both are in the SB

Mahomes will definitely watch the interceptions he made from this game and correct them

I think the Oline will be ready now that they know what Ekuban did . They would just need to protect against Donald.

So if it is a repeat matchup in the SB , I would like to see this phenomenal offensive record breaking performance again, but I can’t picture it.:lecture

Also Talib will be back , that will be huge for defense

Protect against Donald. Double team or triple team. Then hope no one else on the front get to the QB LOL

As of Nov 23, the Saints are the best team in the league. That was an "off" game and they won easily.

Gotta keep it going. Schedule for Saints is 10 times harder than the Rams (HFA).
