For those who don't know or remember, a couple years back the Saints were down by 7 and on the last play of the game threw a bunch of laterals ending up actually scoring as time expired in an awesome play. Then, Carney came up and missed the extra point, game over, Saints lose by one.

LOL!:lol I remember that one. It was the Saints/Jaguars game from Dec. 21, 2003. The Saints needed to win both of their final two games to have a chance at qualifying for the postseason. Then the miracle play happened called the "River City Relay." All Carney had to do was make the extra point to send it into overtime. He missed.

The reaction of Saints play-by-play radio announcer Jim Henderson became legendary:

"NOOOO!!! He missed the extra point wide right! Oh my God, how could he do that?":lol:lol:lol

These are the best teams in the NFL right now IMO.

Saints
Vikings
Colts

(Vikings are better than the Colts, Colts D is a weak point. And i really think the Saints and Vikes would be a close game, but i give the edge to the Saints cause they're undefeated)

I, like every Saints fan was heartbroken with Morten Andersen missed a game-winning field goal years ago to beat the Vikings, and put us into the playoffs as a wildcard team. Now with the MUCH better team we have than we did in 1987

Yes, SIR! I remember that. The Vikings moonwalked into then playoffs in 1987. We were heavy underdogs against the Saints at the Superdome. We were down 10-0 and then proceeded to put up the next 44 points. Final score 44-10.:D

The following week we shocked the 49s 36-24 at Candlestick Park.:rock

Then our great run came to an end against the Redskins 17-10 in the NFC Championship game on the last bleeping play of the game. Our running back dropped a hard to catch ball in the end zone on fourth and goal from the 3 yard line.:banghead What a run though!

new to the boards; just showing my "colors."

: )

Welcome to the board and this thread. We need more NFL fans to post here.:banghead

Bills fan, huh. Sorry to hear that. When it comes to Super Bowl futility, the Bills even out pace the Vikings 4 Bowl losses.:lol

Welcome, from one loser fan to another.:lol

~We both have stadium issues.

Wow Peterson gets pulled over day before a game doing 109mph in what was called a regular traffic stop. Then the cop went on to wished luck in tomorrows game. Since when in MN getting pulled over doing 109 a regular traffic stop. Ohh yeah that right when you play for the Vikings. Some times it amazes me how that state will favor their athletes. Kinda like some f'ed up loop hole that allowed played to play even though they should be suspended.

1. Where did you hear about this?

2. Not to be confused with other states favoring their athletes.

I have no idea! Unless Toronto is gunning for a football team of their own? What would they be called anyway? If a team would be created for them? I know the Blue Jays were their M.L.B. team. But that's baseball. I just can't see a football team being called the Blue Jays. It's bad enough there's a team called the Cardinals.

Hey JediM, read my post #3304 on the previous page.

I know the Bills are playing in an outdated stadium and I thought at one time the NFL was looking to put a franchise in Toronto.

The Cardinals is an old school name dating back to the Chicago Cardinals.

I would really like to see an expansion NFL team in Canada. That would open up a whole new bin of great cut-downs.

Yeah, don't remind me about that game we lost to the Vikings.

Water under the bridge now anyway. I have a stong belief that it WON'T come down to us kicking a field goal to beat the Vikings this time! :D

I realize that the Cardinals is an old school team name. Just seem wimpy compared to other N.F.L. bird team names like the eagles, falcons, ravens, seahawks. I'd like to see a new N.F.L. called the phoenixs, or oh...I don't know.

Sad to say but no comeback for that.:lol

By the way, why are they playing this game in Toronto? What's behind this?

They played there last year too, it has been widely rumored that the Bills will move to Toronto when Ralph Wilson either dies or sells the team. Some "home game" though. :sick
