As far as I understand it, and I may be wrong, the home field advantage for our Saints is through the entire playoffs. Since they made it to 13-0 now. Correct me guys if someone knows for sure. I'll check on ESPN and NFL Network tonight about all that.

Yeah, the game was much closer than I thought it would be! I wasn't expecting a "blow out", but was expecting some space in the scoring between the Saints and the Falcons. A late interception by Johnathan Vilma was the stop we needed! :D Our defense pulled it off once again.

I guess technically the Vikes could finish 14-2 and the Saints 13-3. But that's not going to happen. I really see you folks going to the Super Bowl.

Yeah, I guess it was a surprisingly close game. The Falcons were without Matt Ryan and their RB Turner. All that counts is, "Just Win Baby."

They didn't clinch home field throughout because if the Saints lose 2 games and they both finish 14-2 the Vikings would hold the tie breaker and have home field throughout because one of their losses is to an AFC team and the Saints have 3 NFC teams left which would mean they'd have 2 NFC losses. That's only if the Vikings win out and the Saints lose 2.

I hate to be Mr. Negativity here again about the Saints, but man. Our defense played like complete $h!t today. Total, complete crap until the last two possessions by the Falcons (first one leading to the INT, last one leading to the failed fourth down conversion attempt). I know we've got some injuries, but this is ridiculous, and the play calling was partly to blame--they kept blitzing when every time they did, Redman burned us. Every time. Freakin' Chris Redman and a backup running back was picking the Saints D apart. Last week it was the lowly Redskins doing the same! What happens if the Vikings, Chargers, or Colts play against a defense playing like this? That Pats game is looking more and more like an aberration.

Also, what happened to our offensive balance? This looked like last year where we do nothing but pass. This needs to change.

I'm still gonna hope for the best, but with all these squeakers we're having with defense playing like poo, I'm fearing the worst. Maybe we'll "pull a Colts" and have a magical defensive turnaround in the playoffs.

I think the Saints are in trouble in the playoffs IMO. They are playing teams to close and won't be able to get away with that in the playoffs.

So who gets the tiebreaker for the #1 pick because I don't see the Rams or Bucs winning again. We need Suh... REAL BAD.
