What are you talkin' about, Willis? I'm a Saints fan and Bud Man all the time, every time. Sure, I'm more or less pessimistic at a given time, but we have discussed the philosophy/psychopathology of being a Saints fan ad nauseum and that has nothing to do with bandwagon jumping. I've been as consistent a poster in this thread as anybody, and have been as consistent a Saints fan as anybody over the last 15 some-odd years.

But whatever the case, I was asking the previous poster a legitimate question.

Dude, Jamarcus Russell. That was a pretty good draft decision.

I want that man running my team.

He's a multi-millionaire.

Oh, you wanna joke about draft choices do you? How did this one turn out for the Saints?

Just giving you crap. I knew my comment would get a rise out of you. Objective and pessimistic is the only way to go.

I'm super nervous for the game.(was actually dreaming about it)

Either way GO VIKINGS!!!!!

(AND IF THE VIKES LOSE I HOPE THE SAINTS GO ALL THE WAY)

Hey, I didn't say we were any better :lol

The Saints PR people created a "Run Rickey Run" chant for him, and people bought the hell out of the Saints caps with fake dreadlocks attached when he was first signed.

Truthfully, he was a pretty dang good running back for us when he wasn't injured. You just can't put all your eggs in the running back basket, because without an offensive line and the threat of a QB, you aren't gonna win many games with that alone.

And also, Williams may not have been worth the cost (he wasn't), and maybe he was stoned all the time, but at least the guy sounds like he has a post-4th grade education when he speaks.

Yeah, the Ricky Williams deal just flat out pissed me off. Being a long-time Saints fan (no bandwagon for me to jump off of. I never was on one!) I could see that Mike Ditka had wasted Saints trades after Ricky started acting strange, and doing interviews with his helmet on.

Yeah, he did run pretty well. Like karamasov said...when he was healthy. Inconsistently running, and not having a good offensive line didn't help either. The ESPN "wedding cover" with Williams and Ditka was just embarassing to me as a Saints fan. A stupid publicity stunt without question. The Ricky Williams deal was NOT worth it. It really ticked me off to see him come back to the N.F.L. and actually play pretty well with the Dolphins. But now that is all water under the bridge. We have much better running backs that are payed much less, and are grateful for the position they are in. Mike Bell. Pierre Thomas. Lynell Hamilton. Yes, even Reggie Bush. In his case he may be paid more than Williams, but I can tell by his interviews and his love for the team, and this area, that he truly cares.

Now we had a solid team on both sides of the ball. Unselfish players that have come together as a team, and worked very hard for a reason. Every week this season they kept true to their credo..."one game at a time." While the media kept hounding them about the "perfect season". They have kept pursuing their "ultimate goal" as they call it. To get to the Super Bowl and win it.

The Saints are #1 in the N.F.C. for a reason. They won the top seed by winning 13 games in a row. They deserve everything good that comes to them.

TOMORROW WILL BE THE BIGGEST GAME IN SAINTS HISTORY, AND THEY WILL WIN IT! GO SAINTS! :D "FINISH STRONG!"

Oh believe me, I hated that draft pick as much, if not more than anyone. I graduated from LSU and knew firsthand JaBustus would be a bust. But that year there really weren't any good QBs in the draft....we should have taken one the year before.

But here's one thing most don't realize about the Raiders drafts because the focus is always on the "project" Al picks in the 1st round: go back and look at some of the Raider's drafts and focus on rounds 3+. You'll notice several Pro Bowlers that were drafted in those rounds.

And go back and look at some of the comments by the "experts" when Oakland drafted Nnamdi....maybe Crazy Ass Al isn't as crazy as he plays since he drafted arguably the best cover corner in the league today.:monkey5

Saw this on another board, lol.

Favre on the ground
Favre on the ground
Looking like a fool
Cause the Saints put him down!
Turf in his mouth
Helmet turned sideways
Thinking he could throw that
Looking like a fool
Walking around town
With his head hung down
WHO DAT?
Favre on the ground
Favre on the ground
Looking like a fool
Cause the Saints put him down!

Yeah, well, I'll believe it when I see it :lol

Favre's been sacked plenty this year, but this is the Saints D we're talking about. I'm curious to see if last week was an aberration, or if their being healthy is really gonna be enough to cause the Vikes problems.

I'm more worried we'll be seeing Brees on the ground.

I'm done talking about Ricky Williams.

Don't even think about Brees being on the ground! Think to yourself about Favre on the ground after being sacked over and over. Have faith in our Saints. I know you do.

I hope you guys will be pulling for the Vikes if the Saints lose, just as i will be rooting for the Saints if the Vikes lose.

NFC baby.

GO VIKINGS!
