I think the Eagles are going to lose. :(

Of course you do, but just wait to see how many times the Niners give your team the chance to win through turnovers and failing to take advantage of opportunities when the arise.... Also, we have ZERO playmakers. DeSean Jackson just needs to make a play or two and you guys will win 24-13.

That's the Sunday night game huh? I hope it doesn't interfere with game 3 of the Giants Braves series.

No, it's shades of Patriot football. They always do this with their veterans in a contract year.

You can't pay for the past. Richard Seymour wasn't going to be extended here, and they're going to end up with a high draft pick for him.

Logan Mankins can still be an elite guard, but he also ____ the bed in the biggest game of his life and wasn't particularly impressive last year.

I'm not sure who else you're really referring to though.:dunno

The problem with Jackson is he and Kolb do not apparently have good chemistry. Kolb needs better vision and awareness to get the ball to that speedy guy down the field. He failed on Sunday. Jackson was held to 19 yards.

I was all about Kolb. He came in and fired it up last year. However, his confidence is shot. I think he is over thinking every play. He also feels pressure even when there is none. Hopefully he gets it back.

Are they signing him to an extension as a part of the deal?

No...at least not yet. But if there was going to be...I would think it would have had to have been done prior to the deal being finalized and so I am thinking it it will have to be a separate deal. So Moss will be under pressure to perform. But he SHOULD be able to shine with Favre throwing to him (on those odd times when he separates the jersey colors).

Well, we're hitting you at a good time, that's for sure.... I can say with confidence that every game we have remaining on the schedule is winnable with the exception of GB away. Hitting a team like Philly who have an issue at QB, at least it seems that way, could be just what we need.

I'll make you a deal, the Eagles beat the Niners Sunday but the Giants beat the Phills in the NLCS..... :D

Nah Phils are more important right now. :lol

:lol I had the house to myself Sunday. Niner game started at 10 and the Giants at 1.... So the Falcons drive down and kick a field goal at the end to win and I could have cared less. All I could think of was "that has to increase the odds of the Giants winning in some kind of weird balance of the sporting cosmos."

Well, now Welker should have a shorter season, with as much as he's going to get decked on those short passes. The Pats are just dumb. I know you can't pay for the past, but come on, you have to try and keep some vets around. Freaking idiots. Alls I can picture with Belichick is that coach on "The Waterboy" holding up his hand with 3 rings on it as he waves his assistant coach off after questioning a stupid call.

I think it's going to catch up to them rather quickly. The ability Moss had to stretch the field really helps players like Welker work effectively underneath. They took a perfect combo of start WRs and just F'd it up.

No doubt Welker's job just got that much harder. Brandon Tate is now the "deep threat"...ouch. Well, there's also Matt "stone hands" Slater, he can go uncovered though since just about anything sent his way is dropped.:slap

Oh, and it's 5 Rings.:wink1:

Even if Moss had stayed I didn't expect Welker to be too stellar down the road, especially during the cold months, with just coming off of that knee surgery. I know he's a stud and all, but you have to let some time to recover from crap like that. I still think Brady has never been the same since his knee injury. Now, poor Welker better have his head on a swivel coming across the middle.

Oh yeah, forgot to take into account his assistant coaching with the Giants. My bad

Yeah, those Safeties won't need to constantly concern themselves with balls to the deep third which means the shorter possession routes that Welker runs will be populated with even more nasty defenders who'll be ready to rip his head off.

I dunno. As a Pats fan, I'm stunned and kinda pissed off with the move. 4 games into the season, and the team trades their top WR. There has to be something more to the story thats not being told...

I think there definitely is more to this, probably even more than just the fight he had with the unofficial OC Bill O'Brien Monday.

As big of a Pats homer as I can be, I don't think they were getting close to the SB this year. I think BB didn't want to have a toxic personality somewhat like what Adalius Thomas was last year to negatively influence the young guys on the team.

This team needs guys like Mayo to step up and be leaders like Bruschi, Vrabel, and Rodney were.

With this one move I think the Jets are definitely looking like the team to beat in the AFC East now.
