Horrible comparison. Al makes crazy decisions and gambles.....Brown is just a cheap bastid that won't spend money no his team.

Same end game....one's foolish and one's cheap....same end result.

Although, the Bungles will be forced to spend 90% of the cap instead of up to 90% of cap according to the new CBA. It's forcing Mr. Brown not to be cheap. :lol

Tis a sad state of affairs when the Cincy game isn't even on TV in their home market.:slap

And even worse because I passed on 2 free tickets, lol.

Every home game last year for Tampa Bay was blacked out... and they are expecting the same this season. Thats one major reason Tampa lost a home game to go to London. :(

I never understood why Tampa had trouble with attendance.

I mean, South Florida is notorious for their **** fans. Marlins, Panthers, Dolphins, Canes, Heat(before this season) have awful fan support/attendance.

But Tampa? :dunno

I have heard that unemployment has hit that area pretty hard (although you might know better than me) and its not coming back that fast so I hope its because of the lack of money and not that the fans just don't care.

It has, but I don't like that as an excuse since South Florida has ALWAYS had problems with attendance.

You can also see that during Dolphin games, 45% of the crowd is for the away team.

That's usually not the same in Tampa. Tampa may not sell every game out, but at least most of the crowd is for the home team. Still, it would be nice to have more fan support for a good team and a great look/field/team colors, etc.

:)

I guess the Super Bowl victory euphoria from 9 years ago wore off quickly.

There's also fan apathy towards the ownership, the Glazer family. They got in heavy debt when purchasing Manchester United of the EPL and thus, decided to go cheapass on the Bucs organization.

I've heard that too.. but once you look into it they really are spending money its just on keeping their own good guys and not the big name free agents so everyone thinks they are cheap.

Who knows I guess, but I hope it turns around soon because I am worried that eventually if this keeps up they may leave Tampa.... and I don't want that.

They over spent on some of their own players just to get to the 90% cap level. One was a head shaker but can't remember his name.

In anycase, they're an up and coming team on the rise. Their QB, Josh Freeman is young and turning into the real deal.

For the same reason San Diego has piss poor attendance. Both areas are transitory communities. The majority of people with $$ in these areas have moved there to retire. Thus there's no hometown fanbase like other areas in the midwest for example.

I think that is the issue I socal regardless. There are ton of people in these cites who left there cities they "love" to have a cool job , better weather etc... Yet still don't care for the local teams of the city actually like better then the city the "love"

It's the reason the rams left , it's the reason the raiders left. It's the reason the NFL will fail in L.A. Unless they get the chargers, raiders or a new team not some ones left over team. Even then I think it may still fail. The only reason the lakers do so well is they win.
