Interesting...I don't see any reason to disagree with you in the NFC, although based solely on the week 1 performance I would have to say the the Saints could be considered somewhere in there as well. But for the AFC, I am thinking Patriots and Steelers in the AFC championship and that one is so even to me at this point that I will go with the Steelers as much because they are my team as for any other reason. And, of course, this is all with the understanding that week one has barely started.

And on a side note...I think Detroit will surprise some people this year. I don't see them going all the way...but I would not be surprised to see them in the playoffs.

After today's games, as I mentioned previously, I have to mobilize to Phoenix for about 5 months. My wife has adopted the Ravens as her team. And the sole reason that she has done that is because I am a Steelers fan.

It would warm my heart today if I could leave for my Phoenix project with the feeling of satisfaction that would come from the Steelers beating the Ravens by about 70 points...with their third stringers.

The NFL season officially starts at 1:00 in St. Louis.

That is one thing that I really like about being on the West Coast. The games start and end a lot earlier. But I thought MO was only 2 hours ahead of Cali.

I feel sorry for those who...on accasion...have to stay up as late as 2:00 AM to see a game when they have to work the next day.

I know that a lot of NFL fans don't care to stay up late to watch games that are not their own team. But I am one who wants to see as many games as I can and if I were on the East Coast, I would stay up to watch the Raiders and Broncos on the 10:15 game on Monday night. And if one of those games went in to overtime...it could go to 1:30 or 2:00 AM.

I absolutely love being on the west coast... games start at 10:00 and are over at 4:00. We may miss the first part of Monday night games due to work but we always see the end.

anybody else find it completely stupid that all the football analysts are already saying the Colts are done and the season will be a waste before they have even played a game? These guys come off as a bunch of idiots sometimes. It drives me nuts, not to mention the hours of football coverage from one good game.

I don't think the Colts are done without Peyton, I just don't think Kerry Collins is the answer. I think if they are going for veterans, I think they should go get Carson Palmer, the problem with Cincinnati is that the defense sucked and the o line didn't protect him. With the d in Indy and great protection the o line gives Manning, I think Carson could still gun it out there. But with Collins, he's going to get sacked. Maybe Favre, but I don't see that happening for Indy. Indy will get wins, but not playoffs, Caldwell is no Dungy. As far

as the texans game, Colts could win, since A foster isn't playing for the texans, but since

Collins was in the Titans, which is the same difficult division as Indy, I can see why the colts got him, but his age is going to be a factor, he's no Favre.

It's clear, if Brady, Sanchez and Rivers stay healthy, those three teams will dominate the AFC.

Vikings....17
Chargers..28

I think this game will be closer than most people think. I could see it being tied going into the 4th quarter with the Chargers pulling away. If we can play ball control offense with Adrian Peterson then there's a chance. But in the end, Philip Rivers will overwhelm the Viking secondary.

You can cross Green Bay off your list. A different NFC team has been in the Super Bowl the last 10 years....so history is against them.
