Great game between Saints and Texans today. Another patented 4th quarter comeback by Brees et al. But damn, does the Saints defense SUCK. The only silver lining I see about them is that they stepped up in clutch time in the 4th quarter, but they've let teams score 30+ on you in 2 of the first 3 games.

Still thinking Hassleback was washed up, no way! He wasn't the problem Carrol! Maybe Seattle wants Luck, but they might lose him to the Chiefs, so that is not wise. :lecture

Too bad Denard Robinson is not a senior yet, Seattle could use him!

I really hope the Bills make this field goal. I would've tried to run it in for a TD on their next to last play instead of just kneeling. Field goals are never guaranteed, but coaches seem to think that they always are.

aaaand, the Bills have beat the Pats! Congrats to Bills fans!

In was hoping it was a bad snap for stupid coaching.

You got the time , you got the time out you kick on 3rd with 10 or so seconds. Bad snap you kill the ball call timeout and try again.

Well, that sucked. Brady with a shaky day coupled with this Defense will lead to games like this though. I'm still not sure that was PI on Brown. That play changed the game giving the Bills 7.

Oh well, as much as it hurts to say, go Raiders.

Wow Bills beat Brady! I really want to put them as a contender, but I need to see how they perform on the road, again the week 1 win was on the road, but it was against KC's defense :lecture

Sorry Bills fans you can't take Ralph Wilson's stadium on the road, but good job nonetheless.

BTW, the Texans probably should have scored more on the Saints, seeing as how they kept failing to score TDs in the red zone. Texans could have had over 50 points if they had capitalized on those opportunities. :monkey4

When my team is in those situations, I'm more concerned with the kicker choking than the snapper or holder screwing up. But either way, they do put all their eggs in the 4th down basket when they leave it all up to that single play.

You know what two things, I think everyone but Allen is going to be revamped in defense in the off season, after Frasier is fired in Minnisota. :slap

Detroit has a chance, if Stafford stays healthy! :dunno

Yeah but there is no protection against the kicker missing but you can protect against other mistakes and a smart coach should do so.

Green bay has a chance to repeat as champs, they just got to worry about the team they are playing today and those pesky Giants, and now The Lions (not really) :lecture

Sure there is--run it into the end zone, and don't leave it in the hands (or rather, foot) of the kicker!

I've seen the Saints lose so many times over the years relying on the kicker when that wasn't their only option. When you get down inside the 5 yard line, try to get the score by running first, since it's a low risk play unless you are Adrian Peterson or Reggie Bush, and then kick only if you have to.

Miami can't catch a break, Rays blew it, Heat blew it, and now the fins, they need the second coming of Marino as a QB :slap

I'd put it more on the interceptions, penalties, and general crap Pats D over the genius of Chan Gailey.

I'll admit that Pat's Defense isn't the same as the Mcguiness/Bruschi/Milloy era, but as long as you got Belichick and Brady, and Manning is on the shelf, they'll win the the division.

there is the threat of Rivers, but you know, Turner will blow it as usual in the AFC championships, really all the Pats have to worry about is how far the steelers will get.

The Steelers don't really worry me. They play a zone defense that Brady shreds.

It's the Ravens and Jets that give the Patriots problems. Teams that can bring pressure on Brady while maintaining tight coverage.

Ravens are my boys, but they seem to lose it when it counts. Jets, I love Rex and Sanchez, but that Jets D gives up to many points towards the end, and the O line needs to protect Sanchez more.
