Ahhhhh. My reading comprehension was TOTALLY off. I thought YOU were stating that the resigning of Jackson guarantees the Eagles will win a Super Bowl. You were just reporting what Jackson said.

Should have had my late morning / early afternoon coffee.

Ok, gotcha. I kinda wonder want you meant :lol

You'd figure after that "Dream Team" fiasco that everyone on that team would just shut up and let their playing do the talking, but this is the guy who arrogantly tosses the ball back behind him before crossing the goal line.

:lecture Sounds like that might be the only option left.

I'm not afraid to admit...once they hit 0-5, I was hoping for a 1-15 season. Take Luck and build. Unfortunately, they started winning meaningless games and just screwed their future, really. Then Barkley and Jones decide to go back to school...probably seeing if one of them can be #1 next year. Now, they are just watching Mario Williams, Laurent Robinson, Vincent Jackson, etc. find new teams while Manning lets everyone hang.

If Manning doesn't come, then they hve to scramble to sign atleast 1 QB. A QB that will probably be less talented, and more expensive, than Chad Henne. AAARGGGG!!!:cuckoo:

why don't they go after green bay's back up QB?

I'm sure if they're going to invest their money and franchise in a QB through free agency, then they'd probably want someone with more than 2 starts under his belt. The game Flynn did start last season, he reaped the benefits of a solid all around offense, much like Cassel did in New England in '08. And you see how much of an illusion that created for Cassel.

Yeah, they are going to try and land Flynn now. And probably over pay to get him. I heard one report that the only reason they got a sit down meeting with Peyton was because Dan Marino asked him to. How sad is that.:(

Manning officially says no to Dolphins. No surprise but this may be a REALLY bad season. I've been a LaRon Landry fanboy but he won't come to town...he's visiting the Pats.

Niners in mix. Down to 3 team race. Again, if I was Manning from an on field respect my list of those 3 would be

Niners
Broncos
....
....
....
Titans.

If he goes to the Titans its all about the $$$ and prospective team ownership or other off field reasons.

How odd.... Luck might end up helping Harbaugh get a QB at the next level:

Harbaugh coaches Luck, Luck consensus no.1 pro prospect two years running, Harbaugh goes to Niners, Colts cut Manning and draft Luck, Niners sign Manning, Niners win Super Bowl :rock :lol

Interesting. If indeed 49ers are in the mix, better team for Peyton. Strong run game, strong defense. Decent core of receivers. Michael Crabtree could have the break out year everyone has been waiting for.

I mentioned it after the superbowl but I'll say it again. For the past seven or eight years in a row the NFC rep in the bowl has come from the division that plays the AFC east teams in the regular season. That division this year is the NFC west and if the Niners land Manning I'm going to bet my life savings on them making it to the bowl.
