If I was Manning I'd be looking at 1)SF 2)Houston 3)Denver......distant 4)Tennesse 5)Miami

That would makes sense, but Harbaugh seems set to keep Alex Smith.

I originally guessed Washington for Manning which definitely isn't happening now that they have the #2 pick. Right now I'd guess Denver.

I just think AZ is the best place for Manning.

Besides the dome, and a stud receiver in Fitzgerald, this is a winnable division, (yes, I know every division is winnable) in terms of division opponents, more so than the AFC East (in the case of Miami), but arguably less so than the AFC West (in the case of Denver, but does Manning want to play in inclement weather?). SF played great last year and I like Harbaugh, but let's keep in perspective that SF was third place in the division the year before and their 2011 schedule reflected that. Let see how they do with a first place schedule this year. They have to go on the road to play the Packers, Saints, Pats and Jets.

The NFC West plays the AFC East this year, so there will be games against the Pats and Jets, but I'm not certain that the Cardinals have to play the Packers or the Saints.

I don't think the Niners will beo 13-3 again but I do think 12-4/11-5 is more likely. I think the Niners have a great shot at getting to the SB next year.

I would say
1. SF very unlikely
2. AZ
3. Denver

The biggest difference between AZ and Denver , Fitzgerald.

Forgot about AZ. I'd probably put them after Houston, before Denver.

I think Houston is closer to winning the SB than SF is, but the reason I put SF ahead is the history of the team and the market you'd be in.

I think Houston with healthy Manning would be AFC favorites for sure. Really all that team lacks is a QB.

Honestly, aside from the tradition and Elway I see no reason to come to Denver either.

Except for the Schaub guy who was on his way to another good season until getting hurt last year. They definitely should be AFC favorites with Schaub. They were a few plays away from the AFCCG with T.J. Yates.

I'm not sure that 36 year old Manning coming off 4 neck surgeries is a better alternative to Schaub for the price that will be paid.

In '08 the Titans went 13-3 (best record in the NFL that season), but in '09 they started 0-6. Trying to predict what a team is going to do next season based off of last is like trying to put a fire out with a bucket of gasoline.

besides Fitzgerald, what does AZ offer? None of those other teams besides maybe Denv have a ligitimate shot to be a big time winner with Peyton. SF has a top defense, with great tight ends, and good running backs. If he goes to SF, they are automatic SB contenders, even without him, they already are. It would be a no brainer to me, even if I didn't live in No. CA.

A controlled environment to play in. And again, a winnable division, moreso than the AFC East (should he chose Miami). Rams are still rebuilding; Seattle, while they can be tough to play against, would not be favored against a Manning led Cardinals team.

But you're right, if Manning goes to SF, it ramps them up to the upper tier in the NFC. But is San Francisco really a viable candidate? I haven't been keeping up religiously, has Manning even visited or has he scheduled a visit to SF?

IDK, I don't follow any teams :lol it wouldn't make much sense not to have some sort of get together with SF at some point since they haven't resigned Smith yet. We'll see, I think this is only a 3 team race at this point. Peyton won't want to join a team that is still rebuilding cause he only has a few years, at most left imo.

I think you could rule out SF from day one,Harbaugh wouldnt want to give up control to Manning. SF has never said they wanted him. Houston has said they don't want to him.

Its really down to 4 teams unless someone makes a last second move.

Miami, Denver, Tennessee, and Arizona.

Tenn has a good running back and good line but thats really it and ok defense.

Miami just traded it best receiver, has a ok RB, good defense, good line and good weather

Denver has a good defense and Elway.

Az has one top level receiver, and over all good receiving core(could be really good with manning) a ok-good RB, an improving D good weather and a dome.

Brandon Marshall to the bears. I think that ends the Dolphins chance of getting Manning.

Quite the contrary. Rumour has it that Manning didn't want to play with Marshall. It also clears 11 mil in cap room. Miami must have something brewing otherwise the got nothing now!!!

:exactly: :lecture

But I seriously hope Miami has something in the works otherwise I have no idea wtf this team is doing...

I saw where the Jets said they passed on Manning to support Sanchez.

:lol:rotfl:lol

That's like saying you turned down Kate Upton to date Courtney Love :lol
