Still no upset. Vegas can put up favors all they want, that means jack squat. Going off of last year is what makes these analysts look like morons. The Skins having a decent QB makes them a threat.

Well the game is still theirs for the taking. If they lose, it comes down to them being outplayed. Bad calls kinda went both way.

Gotta admit, Peyton hasn't missed a beat. I'm not going to praise him the 2nd coming now, this was a tough game for anyone to prepare for with really no game film to go off of, but he looked really good tonight. Still anxious to see in Oct and later with him playing outside in adverse weather, but good in week 1.

Peyton is carving up the Steelers defense like a Thanksgiving Butterball.:rotfl

253 yds? Not really. He only had 2 good drives with 2 ok ones. Ben was as good, except for their last 2 possessions.

Now not playing for over a year and against an alright D (can't say great with 2 of their best players out), that was great.

I would call the Saints game an upset considering the expectations folks probably had based on their play last year. But it wasn't shocking to me really, considering that we never really know much about how a team is going to do at the beginning of a season. Aaron Kromer (guy standing in for Joe Vitt--the guy who's gonna stand in for Payton) didn't appear very head coach-like. And the team was playing much sloppier today than they have, really in recent memory with stupid penalties, a crapload of drops, defensive guys who were off by a step, etc. Defense surely didn't improve much from last year (despite bringing in Spagnolo). The offense was still largely there, but they were missing some real chemistry. The Saints need leadership, organization, and better defensive play to get anywhere this year. I wouldn't bet too much money on them getting to the playoffs.

Credit where it was due, though, RG3 was excellent.

hell yea, manning in top form tonight, that was awesome. And thomas? wow. steelers just can't stop him.

So are the Bears and Falcons on Juggernaut watch right now? Both offenses looked pretty sick today. I'm not expecting the redskins or jets to play like this all season given the limitations of their QBs right now so I'll remain reserved about them right now.

damn there were some high scoring games this week. Either this is now a full passing game or defense is dead, huh?

Yea but look at all the turnovers though. Luck had 3 picks today and the patriots had a defensive touchdown and didn't Fitz throw like 4 picks too? Stafford also threw 3 picks. The only thing that blew my mind was the Matt Ryan had over 200 passing yards at half time, that's just insane.

Well, I'm happy with this first weekend.
Especially fun to watch P. Manning again and also see Griffin III in his new suit.

Now looking forward to tomorrow with 2 MNF games. :yess:

Them Boltz are gonna STOMP on those Raiders!!! :)

On a side note. The games today were good. My manager is a big San Francisco fan so he was happy.

It's still too early to over-hype any team right now. Hard to tell which teams just had an ok game against a bad team. Too many times teams look unstoppable and go 5-0, 6-0 and at the end miss the play offs.
