The helmet makes more sense to me, guessing it's for high altitude? Even cap wears a helmet and he's a supersoldier, don't know how falcon just flew around with just those goofy goggles as a regular human.

It makes sense to me, I just don't like the design. Not sure what I'd improve but it just doesn't look great on the figure.

It makes sense to have something for pressure, I guess, at high altitude. It's just a little generic-looking, I think. I'll see how much he uses it in the film, but ultimately I think it would be criminal not to use that incredible Anthony Mackie sculpt anyway.

A couple of those shots with the wings furled around him look absolutely sick.

The helmet design is kinda odd. The hose connects from the back of the helmet to the front of the helmet.

So the air supply is inside the back of the helmet helmet, but still needs a hose?

Maybe it's just a breather tube with the air intake at the back rather than the front for when he's flying at high speed/high altitude? Probably an aerodynamic consideration as well as an air intake at the front would result in more drag. Or.............it's a comic book movie and we're not supposed to think about it too much lol...

I'll see it eventually, but to me Captain America is Steve Rogers with the super soldier serum. Just like Peter Parker is Spiderman and Clark Kent is Superman. These are characters I've got a lot of childhood nostalgia for--the thing that drives my whole interest in this as opposed to watching, say, foreign and independent films, that would undoubtedly make for a better filmgoing experience. And it feels icky and wrong when they sub them out with various other characters, no matter what more modern comics tell us or what the script writers and producers feel makes for better stories.

The quick release on this is interesting. We saw that with Deadpool and Ladypool but Wolverine is still a bit out. Wonder if Marvel is indeed having HT prioritize the main character? Could we see Mr. Fantastic in October?

I pretty much feel the same...but I think I'm watching this more as "The Falcon with Caps Shield fights a really upset Han Solo" so I my suspension of belief should be fine

Yeah it's a good trend and has to be better for their sales by striking while the iron's hot. The risk as always is that the product ends up not matching the film because of the production lead-times required for the merch versus changing the costumes with CGI right up until the last minute (remember the black and gold Spider-Man suit from No Way Home?). But so long as it's a fully practical suit that was captured on camera they should be safe.

I don't find the idea icky at all, but it does always feel like a poor substitution for the real thing. And it's usually hard to feel as emotionally invested in the new guy wearing the mask.

In this case I do still find Sam a very likeable and sympathetic character, so I'm hoping that will overtake any weirdness of seeing him as the new Cap.

I like Sam as a character, as well, but Sam Cap vs. General Ross Hulk feels better situated in an alternate reality.

I just saw the price of the figure is $375. While I really like the design, the movie would have to blow me away and be Winter Soldier caliber to get me to bite at that price...and no, I don't think it's going to Winter Soldier caliber

I'm no fan of the MCU and even if this film flops, I can still say he played a great Falcon and is a reasonably good actor. I hate that THIS is the film he gets to "shine" in as the main star tho.

Figure looks really good but I think I like the older fig a bit better. I hope the film does ok if for nothing else than because I actually don't absolutely hate the lead.

I also think the headsculpt is good but the eyes seem a touch too far apart. Doubt there will be any revisions to the sculpt. What you see is likely what you'll get.

I actually like the suit quite a bit. The sculpt is good too. Just not a figure I feel the need to own. Unless I really like the movie. Although if the movie is great this to go with Red Hulk might tempt me.

Yeah, I'm scared that I'll love the movie and they'll release a Ford Hulk (ironically, before Bespin Han) and I'll be out a grand for that two figure setup!

I think this is releasing earlier because this movie was supposed to release a lot earlier and there was a ton of reshoots. Hottoys already had the character designs and photos for a while I would think.
