Ive been a Lions season ticket holder for a few years now, and im getting sick of this team, inconsistent, sloppy, and hotheads all over that field. You see what the Vikings did to the Niners?? We are finished next week.

I'm a hardcore Vikes fan if you didn't know. I think it'll be a difficult game. Yes, we beat the 49ers but we lost to the Colts and should have lost to the Jaguars.

Your Lions team has come a long way since that 0-16 season. Things are headed in the right direction in the Motor City despite the speed bumps.

Atlanta's schedule is looking a lot tougher right now than it did preseason, and it looked pretty tough then. I can't even say Tampa is gimme and Carolina always plays us tough even when they're awful. Outside of them and maybe Washington it should be a grind.

Thanks for the comments about the Lions man, Yeah they have come a long way from 0-16 but I just feel like enough is enough and lets get more wins this season, we already have 2 losses! The Vikings always scare the crap out of me when we play them!

At least the bears D looked great today, they look like a top 5 defensive team right now. Offense wasn't to bad either.

I agree about the D, they're looking great through 3 games so far. Can't say the same about the offense though, Cutler has to perform better and show he can lead the team, especially when behind in games. Yeah, they moved the ball today, but I also saw a lot of throws behind receivers, a couple of missed opportunities, and the running game without Forte didn't look good either. They only had 1 offensive TD.

I must say, this is one of the most interesting start to a season I can remember in years. Anybody can beat anybody right now it seems. The first 3 games have really showed the parity in the league in this day in age, which is a good thing, IMO.

From the little bit I did see of that game last night, it looks like the scab refs hurt New England too. The Pats looked to be in control most of the 1st half, then I switch it back to see Torrey Smith with his obvious stiff arm on that late TD catch. Any time a receiver locks their elbow on a shove off, it's supposed to be an automatic OPI penalty, but not even the regular officials really call it against a receiver. That's the same thing he did to William Gay last season when they swept Pittsburgh, and the official three the flag on Gay. Condolences to T Smith with his little brother passing away, and he had a pretty good game playing with a heavy heart, but that TD catch was BS.

And I don't care how much Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworthless tried to right that wrong at the end, that was not a good FG. 6 inches lower and "DOINK!" it's off the upright. How does a ball that does not pass clearly through the uprights count? Yes, big time wrong by Belichick for grabbing that scab, but I feel the guy's frustration and anger.

Even the little bit of commentary I heard painted the picture. Collinsworthless saying about that being a game from 30 years in the past where they're battling it out on the sides, and the DPIs I saw not called and he'd respond with "glad to see they're letting them play." How far that went on both sides, I don't know, but to me it makes it worse when the commentators try to glorify the obvious no-calls. Whether it helps your team and haters rant and rave how your team got help from the officials, or it hinders your team and you try to comment on it and you get accused of whining. It sucks either way. I know a lot of you guys dislike Gruden on MNF, but I like that he calls out BS officiating.

NE is in the same boat as Pittsburgh with that loss. Them losing to Thug-imore could cost them a possible homefield advantage, or even 1st round bye. Maybe even Pittsburgh and Baltimore slug it out this season for the division, and Oakland gets their crap together after a huge win for them, and it has the same ramifications with play off positioning.

Those two officiating crews last night quite possibly hurt two AFC contenders in play off positioning come this January. Sorry, Gren, I definitely feel your pain, brother.

Gotta give it up to the Ravens! I wish the Lions resembled a team such as the Ravens.
Trust me, you don't. I watch that team almost as closely as I watch the Steelers, and I call them Thug-imore for a reason. The Steelers get the wrap as the dirty bad guys in the AFC, and wrongfully so. Baltimore is as dirty as they come, but for some reason the big-wigs take care of them. John Harbaugh should get fined after every loss for his outright blaming the officials for a loss. In 2010 when asked if he knew Ben might have a broken nose, he flat-out replies "Good! I hope we broke it!" Players shouldn't respond like that to reporters, let alone a HC. Don't watch the over-glorified highlights of their games, watch the whole game.

I like the Lions, lot of potential there. Explosive offense, and a good D that needs a quality DC to refine them, and they'd be a serious threat. Schwartz lets his emotions get the better of him sometimes, but I respect what he's done up there.

So be glad your Lions don't resemble the Browns in the purple jerseys.

Through these first 3 weeks, Atlanta is looking to be the undisputed class of the NFC so far. Just hopefully if they make the play offs they don't meet the NFC juggernauts of the play offs in their first game. All 3 times so far they've gotten beat by the NFC rep in the Super Bowl. As far as a fan from another team looking in, I'm liking what I'm seeing from them so far.

You forgot the gimme when Oakland comes to the Georgia Dome. Clean sweep of the AFC West for the Dirty Birds.

I agree with you for the most part and i like your comment about the browns in purple jerseys LOL, but Detroit is just so effin inconsistent, no secondary! not passin to Calvin, all of a sudden we are a running team... I mean it kills me to watch these guys every week and bearly get a win or lose to teams we should have beat, but hey i guess thats the NFL.

Schwartz needs a better OC and DC in there to really assist him in cleaning up the basic crap that kills those guys.

The only reason there's "so much" of it is because I post way too much in here. :lecture

It's not the volume it's the "through the Steelers glasses only" perspective. :lecture:lol

Refs are just an excuse for a team not getting the job done. Unless its the very last play of the game players and coaches need to stop pointing the finger at refs as reason for a loss. Can it make it harder to win sure but those are the things teams have to overcome.

So unless it comes on the last play of a game, the game changing mistakes the scabs are making should be ignored. Got it.:cuckoo:
