No, worse for the Quebec City fans... At least the Jets fans from Winnipeg never had to watch the Coyotes hoist Lord Stanley's Cup... Those poor fans in their Nordiques jerseys watching Patrick (and even Raymond eventually) get to drink from the Cup...

Speaking of the Nordiques, I used to love the first round when the Habs would play the Nordiques. Those were the best series-- but oh, the horror when Guy LaFleur came skating out for that first time in the powder blue.

I miss the Nordiques. Back in the day my father and I would take road trips up to Quebec city to visit relatives and see a game, usually when the Bruins were in town.

When they moved my family became fans of the loathsome bleu blanc et rouge. I still hear it about '02 and '08 every time I visit.

Man, its funny you say that because i've become the exact same way. I don't know if it comes with age but i've accepted the fact that my Oilers will never be like they were in the 80's. I'm always interested in seeing how our retired (Legendary) Oilers are doing.

We have 2 streets named after Gretzky and Messier, we have 5 stanley cups and bunch of HOF'ers too. I remember saying to my brother (after good ol' 2006) that I am not upset that we are "rebuilding" again. I have my memories and was a part of that history so i'm good.

What a week for the Caps. Beat the Flyers, Red Wings, Pens and Yotes.

Even though it is the regular season, and the playoffs are a whole other monster, as Pittsburgh and many other teams have proven in pretty much every post season for the past dozen-or-so-years, with the exception of your Red Wings and Avalanches, who were top 3 teams when they won their Championships, the Caps are the non Championship team to beat in the upcoming 2010 playoffs. Even Patrick Kane said that despite his team being one of the best in the West, and Detroit barely being able to hang onto a playoff spot, if they get in, they are still the team to beat in the playoffs. Same thing goes for Pittsburgh, they are the team to beat in the East. No team has beat them from the East for two years running. Can they make it a third? Nobody can truly answer that now, but I know of all the Eastern teams, their hardest opponent to go through, looks to be Washington, as long as what they are showing is the real deal, and they are not just another San Jose Sharks or Boston Bruins team. All regular season, and no show come the post season.

Guess we'll find out after this portion of the season is over.
