He was asked why he thought there was a lack of interest, he answered honestly. No whining.

To his credit, he hasn't caused any disturbances this year and has just gone about his business. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being amnestied during the summer.

I was however shocked the Bruins wasted a 7th rounder on Wade Redden.:yuck

Is it a good contract for the team? No.

They offered it to Luongo, and he'd have been a fool to turn it down. But he hasn't done a thing wrong when it comes to media relations. He could have been much more dramatic about the whole situation with his contract and Schneider. Instead was very diplomatic, and has kept a good sense of humor about the situation's more ridiculous aspects.

The "tire pumping" thing is the only stupid thing I can really think of him saying, and that wasn't even contract related.

Also, he probably has the best Twitter account of any NHL-er, save for maybe Bissonnette.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

So basically the Rangers traded their depth for Nash, now they're trading Gaborik to regain it from the same team. Way to go Sather.:lol

Worst managed team in hockey, what a joke, three picks for Clowe?

Watch the games. Anyone who saw the game saw the quality of chances given up. They are without Letang and Martin in the lineup. You need to seriously watch the games before you **** on the goalies. Even the big game analysis's were saying Fleury played well considering the scoresheet. 3 goals came on the power play. So right there you have to acknowledge that. Also acknowledge the fact bad bounces, lack of crease clearing, and leaving guys open to be lit up plays a factor. Low high quality count shot will see more pucks in the net vs. a high number of low quality perimeter shots. Or shots were second scoring attempts (rebounds are lessened). Most goals that get scored are redirects (goalies have a hard time following a puck that changes it's line of destination in a split end second), rebounds, and screens.

The major insults to all of this, Clowe got his first goal against the Pens (he got two actually), and they allowed in as many goals these past two games as they did in the 10-11 games prior.

This is the real goaltending tandem? And the goaltending prior to that, which was arguably the best tandem in the league during that win streak wasn't? I mean sure Fleury fluffed some playoff rounds, but he also was in the net for the two Cup Finals and Cup win. Funny how we always focus on the bad vs the good. I seen many of the games were it should be obvious who was the real guy at fault here, it was a team collapse. The chemistry is buggered up and may take some time for the new lines to gel with all the new bodies added. Lest we forget, 3 big important bodies out. 4 new bodies in.

As good as guys like the Iginlas and Morrows are, they have to adapt to a new system and new team. New line mates. They are fantastic NHLers, but they are also a product of playing for the same city, and probably the same system for a very prolonged period of time. Adaption has to be made. Also doesn't help when a team game changes from everyone's in it for everyone to be in the best situation to score, to lets get Iggy his first goal as a Pen... that was frustrating. You make it too easy for the other team if your line mates constantly make plays to Iggy. You can predict the oppositions every move. Oh, I see what they are doing. They are trying to get a first Pens goal for No. 12. It's **** like that, that annoys me, and of course....

Pure bad luck! The minute we get Geno back in the lineup, Crosby is taken out 50 seconds into the first. Really?! Oh and we lose our top two offensive defenseman. Yes, that makes a difference. Once we regain one or both of Martin and Letang, and we get the new guys more equated with Blysma's system, the sooner we'll be back to winning hockey games again. This was discussed, that the potential of adding to a team with great chemistry, could be detrimental. Time will tell if it's short term or long term.

Sigh

Do you always have to write an essay??? I dont agree with you and never will. Although I agree with the team elements you mentioned, time etc. Bottom line is these bozos have played like ****e this year and if it continues once again in the playoffs, we will be ousted early like we have the last 4 seasons where goaltending has been ONE not the only but one of the main reasons we lost. This team has been strong for 6 seasons and we have 1 cup to show for it, there should at least be 2 cups and at least 3 cup appearances.

I watched both losses and yes some werent their fault, but some should have been stopped. And talk all you want about the streak but do you remember how it started>? 7-6 win over the Habs, with a lot of 1 goal games in there, with a defence limiting the chances in front of them.

Sigh.

They combined for a .920 save percentage prior to the past two games. And anyone who saw the games knew they were left to out hang and dry.

They lost 3 very important bodies and gained 4 bodies that have now upset the chemistry. It's going to take some time, healthy returns on the backend, and the best hockey player in the world, not to mention the added pieces to fit in nicely to the overall plan before we start seeing some quality hockey from the Pens again.

It doesn't matter who's in between the pipes. The team is in a funk for those aforementioned reasons. I am just sick and tired of you laying blame to one or two players (OVER AND OVER AGAIN LIKE A BROKEN RECORD), ignoring the fact it's a team factor. The entire team was a dud in both those games. Perhaps I wouldn't write essays if certain somebodies didn't constantly repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat.. Flower this... Flower that... he sucks. OMG! He's the reason we suck. The team sucks because it's a team issue as of right now. Fleury was the reason we lost the 4-1 game even though Vokoun started. Fleury was the reason the Pens only scored 2 goals in the past 2 games.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

I have a feeling Pens will be out in round 1 for some reason, but that's just my opinion.

Then put me on ignore, its my opinion and the whole purpose of this board is post just that. Where did I blame MAF for the Buffalo loss, I said there tandem was back to reality. :slap

Vokoun was left out to dry on the Ott slapper or teh wrap around where blows a tire and cant get back?
Fleury was left out to dry on the failed poke check?

Do you watch these games?

I also didt blame either of them for the loss, simply sad they were back to letting in weak goals, which they did. Which Vokoun has done almost all year and Fleury does on a regualr basis

As always you just read it as MAF sucks, which my post never said

Lets see how they play tonight against the Rags again
