i,ve got a few tatts, who cares if the tattoo is a copy of a statue, its still a great piece of body art on that guy

Personal preference. I don't care what anyone does to themselves. However if I'm putting something permanent on my skin it better be an original piece of art. Not a copy of something. That is unless it's a team logo or something like that.

Again just personal preference. Tattoos are a form of expression to me personally. Each one represents something. I pay good money to artists to design and do mine. I don't want a copy of something that's been done before. That's all. As I said to each their own. :duff

Specially if your paying good money to have something that will be Permanent in your skin, I mean, Is not like you could do much about it afterwards, I mean, you could but is costly and painful,

that's why the Idea of getting a Tattoo has always scared me, because is something where you pay a person to draw something in your skin that will be there forever,
there is no room for "oops sorry, my bad" if they do something you don't like
This tattoo looks fine, but still...

Thats your preference, no need to let your personal beliefs take over this thread. The Tattoo looks great, as well as the statue. No shame in that. Awesome job and awesome statue.

This is a discussion forum and I have been responding to posts on the topic. The tattoo is very well done (as I've stated). It sounds like this is what the customer wanted as well. So good for him.

Again this is a discussion forum. I'm not flaming the thread. :lecture

Looks cool to me. I've thought about getting something LOTR related as far as tattoos go. That would be something while maybe not original would mean something to me. That to me is what would be important when doing something like this. Plus the way I look at it is its their/your money and body I'm not gonna tell you how to handle something like this.

:lecture:exactly:

I 100% agree with this. At the end of the day it's their body. They can do what they want.

Now, me actually doing it is a whole different story. :lol I really don't like needles. :lol

It's not so bad. The anticipation is the worst part. When you get a shot in truth you don't feel the needle. You feel the medicine. Thats what burns. A tattoo feels like a slight burn that increases depending on where they are doing it. Under my arm up close to my armpit was the worst. :lol

After following this a little. I am not seeing how ARH is getting any recognition. I actually tried to post a comment about ARH's statue being the reference for the tattoo, but I couldn't get it to post. Someone needs to do that...maybe a few times.

So other than this being from statue, how is this news? I'm not trying to be a ____, but this was on the front page of yahoo. What's is the big deal of him getting a tattoo?

It is pretty simple, really. It is not truly big news when someone gets a tattoo. But seeing as this one is being showcased, for whatever reason the writer has deemed appropriate, it is just a good opportunity for ARH to get some well-deserved recognition for a great statue that they did.

No, I get why its news here, but the article doesn't mention ARH or the fact that it came from a statue, so why is this news . . . in the real world, not the collecting world.
