My wife is playing the lion's share of Zelda, but I've probably logged nearly 20 hours already playing when I get a free moment here and there. Insane game. One of the more frustrating, but then rewarding experiences I've had with a game in years was the island where you are stripped of all your gear and can't save until you survive, and get all three of the balls into the receptacles. I know the programmers had a big laugh with the reward you get for finishing. :lol

FYI if anyone hasn't done so try changing your tv settings in the Switch options to full RGB instead of auto. Read that a lot of people said the picture looked better. Worth a try.

Literally just beat BOTW. I REALLY, REALLY liked it, but I was honestly a bit disappointed by the Ganon battle - if I could say there was ANY weakness in the game, it was that. Overall, I still think the overall massiveness of this game is amazing. I can't get over how vast it is.

Of all of the Zelda games I've played, I don't know if I can honestly say this was the best in terms of STORY. Call me crazy but I liked Majora's Mask better.

I did not get all of the memories yet, so I want to go back through and get those and try to get a lot of the side missions done. But overall, what a way to kick off a new console. I'm thankful I beat this when I did, so now, I'm ready for KART!!!!! :rock

I agree with you. A world this big filled with so much to do. Probably the best open world ever made, but, the story. I got all the memories before I finished and ya the story kind of sucks imo all the other 3D Zelda's have much better stories than this one. My other complaint would be the "dungeons". Absolutely pathetic compared to the temples/dungeons of other Zelda's that was the biggest dissapointment for me. I really hope the dlc dungeon at the end of this year is a TRUE dungeon in the sense that it doesn't take 20-30 minutes to beat and is easy as hell. Fingers crossed. Still an amazing game though!

I struggled more on the water-entity Ganon than any villain in the entire game. Not saying the final boss was easy, but I think maybe only the fire-entity Ganon was easier. (I can't remember their names, BTW.)

In Majora's Mask, I remember spending, no joke, probably an hour and a half straight until I beat the final boss - for whatever reason, it took me forever to beat that dude.

Calamity Ganon took me about 20-25 minutes - and that's because I couldn't figure out how to 'crack' the shell in one of Ganon's forms. Once I did that, it was all downhill from there.

Still an AMAZING game. I loved the soundtrack, the feel, etc. but man, it just wrapped up too easily. I wouldn't give it a 10/10, but I'd say a 9.25/10....and that's because I give Majora's Mask a 9.5/10. :lol

I'm a MM fanboy. That game was about as perfect of a Zelda game that I could ask for. BOTW is pretty high up on the list though.

I had the most difficulty with thunderblight and I'm just gonna guess the water one was waterblight? Probably wrong. Still the boss is hardly what makes a dungeon memorable. Stallord from tp maybe being an exception. I'm a TP fanboy but honestly all the 3D zelda's are fantastic I'd probably go:

1.TP
2.MM
3.WW
4.OOT

Never finished SS didn't like that game, won't rank unless I someday finish it. Still haven't decided where BOTW fits in there I sometimes think it might be my new favourite but then I think of how much I love TP and then I think of how it competes against the rest and I just like them all soo much it's so hard to rank them. Even though I made that list they are all neck and neck one just barely I liked more than the next.

I think what surprised me about the last battle was....
the divine beasts take half of Ganon's health right away - no effort needed.
I was waiting for a twist or something, and never got it.

"Bloodstained", the spiritual successor to 2D Castlevania being helmed by Koji Igarashi (director/designer for previous Castlevania games), is no longer coming to Wii U, but will instead be released on Nintendo Switch.

"Hello, this is IGA.

Thank you for always supporting us. I would like to give a message to the backers who pledged for the Wii U version of Bloodstained.

During our Kickstarter campaign, the Wii U was at the height of its popularity, but the situation has drastically changed after the release of Nintendo Switch.

This change made it difficult to receive the necessary support from the hardware maker, which has led us to drop the Wii U development and shift the development to Nintendo Switch.

We are very sorry that it has come to this after all your support, but we hope you will understand. We would like to respond by preparing options for our backers, such as moving your pledge to another version or requesting a refund if you don’t want any other version.

We hope you will continue to support us."

I'm really surprised by this revival of 2D scrollers for the Switch - or at least it seems like it to me. They're not really my thing, but I'm glad for the fanbase.

is that on right now??

I just played a match about half an hour ago. I'm not sure if it's still on.

EDIT:

I just found this. It looks like there'll be another chance to play it tonight, and the next two days.

Is anyone else playing the Splatoon 2 global testfire?

I played last night!!!! LOVED IT!!! Got my butt kicked - worst ranked on my team. :lol But I've never played Splatoon. I'll definitely be getting this for online play. I'll need to master my skills, and then dominate!
