I wasn't planning to give in to those Ebayers, so i finally score one by standing in line at Target at 4 a.m......... and it's damn worth it:D

That's how I'm getting mine, and that's pretty much the only way everyone else is gonna get them too.You can score one you just have to go out Best Buy every Sunday morning at 3:00 or 4:00AM.The last 2 that I got,I waited in line from 4:00Am till about 6:00am and the Best Buy manager came out and handed the Wii vouchers out and said we can come back before 12:00 Noon to pick it up.Man!! were me and my wife glad they did that, cause we thought we were going to have to wait in the freezing cold for another 2 hours. It's also a good idea to have someone with you so can take turns going to the car to warm up,that's if you live in a cold state.

It was funny, when I finally decided to actually buy one we went to Walmart and they didn't have any out. But the clerk told us there was an entire pallet in the back, but they weren't allowed to put them out until the semester started back up again. They wanted to have a big display for returning students

Oh well, I was able to find one a couple weeks later on the shelf, no extra trips or headaches.

Remember that Ebay auction for the Guitar Hero III that the father put up to teach his pot-smoking son a lesson? Well look at what the ending price wound up to be! I am totally mind-boggle.

EDIT: I see now that the father was expecting someone to make an outrageous bid, so the son gets to keep the game anyway. I guess it worked out for the son!

It took me awhile to find my Wii. I live in Connecticut and work in NYC. One Saturday I drove around for hours looking for one and came up empty. The local TRU was sold out before thay even opened. The following Tuesday I called the gamestop near my job and they had one, but could not hold it for me. I work ten minutes away and they still couldn't hold it. Obviously when I get there it's gone, and I start to argue with the manager, but just let it go. I take a trian into the village to get to best buy to buy Pirates 3 and I see a guy walking out with a Wii in a bag. I run inside and was told that they just got some in. So even though game stop was crappy to me I lucked out and still got one.

Anyway, to get this back on track, I played some more Super Mario Galaxy last night. What a kick ass game. At first, the angles really threw me off, but it makes the game so much fun when you get use to it.

I can't wait to start playing the game. I am playing SOOO many games right now, can' wait to start.

Hell yeah. I feel you on the too many games thing, i've got a lot to do also. After Christmas, even more will *hopefully* be added to the to do list. SMG is a lot of fun, you'll enjoy every minute of it.

The dad will end up being the biggest ********* if he ends up giving this to his kid. He has been a number of media outlets shows talking about this and the story has been EVERYWHERE. If het gets close to what the bid was take what he paid for the GHIII and donate the rest to charity.

Also where did you see that the kid gets the game now?

GameStop is a joke. I called one of their chain store. The employee told me that 8 just came in, and told me to come on down. Only to drive 25 miles later to find out they sold out. Those dumb mutt didn't even bother to tell me when i first made the call that there was already a line forming all the way to the door. Bunch of morons.

It's in the very long auction description:

"Concerning the fate of the auction…

Well, with that being said, I intended to cancel the auction anyways. Even with the above probabilities running through my head, I was/am concerned for my family’s privacy. My son has obviously learned his lesson. This auction has been lots of fun for us. For the last couple of days, as soon as he comes in the house, the first thing he says to me is “what’s new with the auction?”. We have read many of the comments together (please keep this in mind when writing them) and I think he is enjoying this more than you might expect. As I said, my son and I are more like best friends than “Pa’ and Junior”, and this has become just one more thing we have come to enjoy sharing.

So I decided to let him make the decision concerning the fate of the auction. He thinks it would be “stupid” to cancel the auction right now. While I may not completely agree with this, he undeniably has more at stake her than I do. We talked about it over the last couple of days, especially yesterday evening, and came to a conclusion. We figure one of two things will happen.

1. The auction will finish at an absurdly high price due to uncontrolled bidding, and the high bidder will be a newly registered user who with no intention of paying.. Several bidders seem to have registered just to bid on this auction. I am fully expecting the bidding to skyrocket near the end of the auction. There are nearly 400 people watching the auction. Instead of canceling bids, we have decided on something else. If the seemingly LIKELY situation of a non-paying bidder winning the auction is realized, that will be the end of it. I will not beg or plea someone to pay, nor will I give out second chance offers. My son will get the Guitar Hero game. Just my assertion of this is almost guaranteeing that this will be the outcome. I can just see all of the “Isaac-apologists” rushing out to get an ebay account right now and putting in a bid of $10 000. Well, go for it if you want. As I mentioned in several comments, my son is a smart cookie. "

Well then my ******-bag statement holds true. Have a lil conviction he went through all of this and then he ends up giving to the kid who he didn't want to give it to weeks ago for a valid reason.

I used to work at gamestop when I was younger, and If Itold someone to come down and get something I would hold it for them for at least a half an hour. After I ran all the way to the store, and they sold it, I was like "why should I buy any more of my games from this place when the customer service is so bad?"

I just bought Guitar Hero as well!!!! I can't beat the first boss though, so I don't rock :monkey2

You mean the guy from Rage Agains the Machine? That took a few tries... not exactly sure why I beat him, but I'll take the victory :lol

Are you online with it... I tried to use it earlier but it seemed no one was around.

That would be cool. I'm really new to online gameplay... so would you just be able to run around and kill people from all over the county?

Yeah, Tom Morello. I finally beat him tonight. It took me like 85 tries, haha. I had no idea I could go online.

Well you may have done better than me... I was new to the game so I was playing on easy. I completed it on easy and now I'm working on Medium... which is brutal in comparison to say the least.
