So as many have seen we now have UPS shipping packages under $100 in value. From Sideshow:

UPS to ship all packages of $100 or less...
Sideshow has negotiated a special domestic shipping rate with UPS for all packages of $100 or less in value. This will save you a few bucks on each shipment, which is always a good thing! Both FedEx and UPS will be available to deliver packages over $100 in value. If, for some reason, you prefer to have all of your packages shipped via FedEx, please contact a Customer Service representative via our Customer Service Request form, linked below! Watch the Help Desk for more information to be posted within the next 7-10 days.

So what are the thoughts? I for one am glad as my driver knows me quite well and next time I see him I will ask him to leave all the packages as close to my house on the porch as possible. I am just curious if Jabba will be shipping seperate and if they will also be shipped via UPS.

This could not be better news as far as I am concerned, UPS has been great for me. :chew

Ouch.. Azrael I feel for you. Maybe in time UPS will work out an overall deal with SS. I read about your package problems and can just imagine how angry you are. Have you tried to arrange for you to pick it up there? I know in the US you can do that.

Not angry as such - its just a bit annoying to be checking the updates everyday and seeing it there. Whilst its close - its just not convenient to pick it up - and I'd probably get there and they wouldn't be able to find it - or would have just put it on a truck!

:maul :slap

I live in Louisville KY with one of the largest UPS hubs in the world. This will take at least 2 days off of my 6 day Fed Ex deliveries.

This is great now I dont have to worry if FedEx is going to give my package to a customer in the parking lot anymore. :chew

You guys are funny:D

Ditto.....:lol :lol :lol

This makes no difference to me as I have never had any major problems with either company, but at least it will be cheaper.

I always liked UPS a little more just because they deliver to my place much earlier in the day than FedEx does.

Unless you're international - in which case its still Fedex.

Which is GOOD, because even though I'm not the biggest Fed-Ex fan, I like UPS even less. I live in Canada...and UPS charges a FLAT-RATE $29.99 'Brokerage Fee' for all items crossing the border. This is ON TOP of the regular shipping charges AND Customs Duties. I won an item for $56.00 on EvilBay a few months back...Here's the breakdown of costs VIA UPS:

Item = $56.00
Airmail shipping = $20.00
Canada Customs charges = $16.50
UPS Brokerage Fee = $29.99
Total = $122.49

Yes, That's right...$66.49 shipping/duty/brokerage charges on a $56.00 item. It cost more to ship into Canada via UPS than the actual item cost! I will NEVER pay for something shipped through UPS ever again!

HA...now it makes sense, I also won a Star Wars book from EvilBay a while back...for $9.99...plus $6.50 shipping...then got the UPS 'delivery notice' that I owed nearly $40 in fees...Because of the FLAT-RATE $29.99 "Brokerage Fee". I said F*%K THAT!!!, and had the book sent back to the sender...

If you're INTERNATIONAL, UPS BLOWS!!!! Sideshow, take note...NEVER switch INTERNATIONAL shipments to UPS!!! Brokerage Fees my ASS!!!

I didn't know they did that. I have shipped a few things to Canada with them because it is actually cheaper than usps sometimes, but I probably won't do that anymore if the person I am shipping to has to pay a brokerage fee.
