The Nolan Batflicks are all boring now. Hell, I'm at a point where I feel the same way about the first two Burton movies too, and those had childhood nostalgia going for them....

Yup, along with the skin grafts that were mentioned too.

The CGI burn face with the exposed eyeball, skull and those gaping holes in his head is just too extreme and cartoony.

The conceptual stuff was much better. The character would have looked much sadder and more pathetic as opposed to the full on Terminator 3 thing the final product ended up being.

The CGI burned face is still more believable than how Two Face somehow got into Maroni's limo without no one seeing him. He was even waiting for Maroni and the car is suddenly moving too. :lol

The Nolan trilogy is still a FAR better set of films than the whole MCU rolled into one. As great as the MCU movies(most of them) are they won't stand the test of time

I don't know...I still enjoy watching Avengers, Winter Soldier, and Civil War whenever they're on. I'm sure that'll apply to Infinity War as well. It's the same with BB and TDK. I still enjoy them immensely whenever I watch them.

I think the original Iron Man, Captain America Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy as well as the first Avengers movie will be able to be revisited in years to come as classics. I really like Captain America First Avenger as well. The latest Avengers will depend on the second part coming out wrapping everything up. My favorite Nolan Batman is Begins.

Today is the 10th Anniversary of The Dark Knight. 10 years and I personally don't think any comic book movie has topped it yet. Some have come close, but it's still king.

Then again it's also my favorite movie of all time so I'm a bit biased. :)

I find TDK hard to sit thru now. It just doesn't hold my attention. And I've really come to dislike the Harvey Dent nonsense at the end.

Ledger still delivers the best comic book villain interpretation in recent memory though, maybe of all time.

Speaking of Ledger's Joker, I was watching the mob meeting scene this morning, and I love his sarcastic laugh, even doing the "hi hi ha ha ho ho ha!" sounds from the comics...almost like they were making fun of the whole idea of Joker always laughing for no reason. It amazes me some people think that was his joker laugh. :lol

Anyway, Ledger is still my favorite Joker, and TDKT is still my favorite comicbook film series. I'm happy that the story has a definitive ending, unlike most franchises that just keep going.

Like the OT and LOTR, the Nolan series does at least end and is complete within its trilogy. I'm not sure TDKR is a satisfactory ending as a whole, but I guess Bat-death works as a finale.

Had Ledger lived, I wonder what character he would have been stuck playing in the MCU?

I'm happy with it. It's almost a Bruce Wayne centric trilogy, so I liked that he came out on top, moved on, and still managed to redeem the Batman figure to the point they built a statue to honor him.

Still, if both Nolan and Bale were to come back for a Batman Beyond inspired series, I wouldn't mind. It probably won't happen, since the Batman franchise doesn't seem to work that way, and it just moves on to the next version.

Corniest thing of the three movies. Up there with 60s Batman and Clooney Batman with the City Hall meetings, bat paraphernalia and bat credit cards.

A prestigious character like Superman gets statues in his honor from the city, not Batman.

I think TDKR is Nolan's tribute to the 60's Batman. It would explain the broad daylight climax and time bomb.
