Paul, You'll find that initially you may be unintentionally ignored from time to time because you're a noob, but this is nothing personal... I know that when reading through a thread I tend to gravitate to the posts from members that I regularly socialize with. In turn, when I was a noob I found that very few of my comments were quoted by others. My advice is to respond to other members by quoting their posts. You'll find that it's a pretty good way to build a rapport with members that have similar interests. Also, start a collection thread for other members to see what you collect.

Strange...I read the post before even looking at who posted it. That way I can take in what was said, and not prematurely judge the words because of who posted it. So yeah, I'm actually willing to read what someone thinks, even if I don't agree with it 100% of the time.

Don't take offense or anything, scanning through your posts I didn't really see many that required anyone really responding. :lol

The boards in general have been quiet of late, don't take it to heart. Just ignore the namecallers who put down the new members with insults and snarky comments.

A post count doesn't meant anything really, we're all Marvel brothers here and a belated welcome to the boards! :duff

You are indeed a man of lojik, even if it is fuzzy! Thanks for the support.
And please, Sideshow show some love for some more of our Marvel hero's from the "Great White North". I'm talkin' ALPHA FLIGHT

I wouldn't mind seeing some Alpha Flight, but even Bowen hasn't made them yet.

I have all the Bowen Alpha Flight mini- busts + wolverine, but haven't heard any mention of full-size versions yet.

My Bowen collection has been thinned considerably...to fund my Sideshow collection. I do however really regret parting with my Juggernaut fs. Oh please Sideshow, make a comic version of Juggernaut.

I tend to be a thread killer also. Don't worry about it.

Just tell the last poster in each thread to ____ off, I'm sure you'll get a response or two that way.:lecture

Don't worry Paul. I've been here since 2006 and people ignore me all the time.:lecture

I've been here since 2008 and people hate me over on the moive boards, they just dont have a sense of humor idk.

I always feel like I keep a low profile on here.

I do post stuff but I always feel like I'm just one of those forgettable posters where you read my post an quickly forget about me. :rotfl

I was a well known and much beloved poster on two other sites (I kinda thought though that is was due to being one of 5 regular male posters on those sites :rotfl ) but I have since left them as my interests has moved on.

All in all I'm ok with keeping a low profile though so it's cool. :)

There is a clique on this forum which I find quite amusing if only for the fact that some ppl devote that much time sitting in front a their computer online.
On the flip side, there's also a wider sense of community beyond that which is nice.
As for being ignored I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'd probably be more concerned if this was haopening in real life...

Well said. Can't put any better than that.

I'm still trying to understand what he said.

I think it goes something like this...

1) There are people here who are friends with each other, and he likes to laugh at them because they spend time here (presumably being friends).

2) There are other people here as well, and he likes them better because they aren't friends? Or because they don't spend much time here?

3) People on the internet are not as important as people who are not on the internet, particularly if they enjoy each other's company. A person should only worry about a lack of close associations in person; such a deficit on the internet is a good thing. It contributes to wider sense of community, which is nice.

In short, find a clique in the real world, or you have problems.

Did I get that right? It was kinda vague so I can't be sure.

You are right and will alway be right.

I can't be bothered to care about making 'friends' i'll never meet. Been there done that it's cool for awhile but then I lose interest in the subject and now all those 'friends' are gone. I'm not saying it is bad for you, it just isn't for me anymore. I just read alot now and throw a few cents in when i get a figure. This approach works for me as i still enjoy the forum.

Vague? How so? It was quite plainly written with no ambiguity...
Perhaps subconsciously or by design you choose to not grasp the simple point I made?
Full marks for the attempt at analysis though. Bravo
