Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Here is the email I just got from SSC after already waiting 7 business days for a response to my exchange request. Like Matt above they are intentionally stalling/delaying the process- It will most likely be another week before I get another response from them.

Thanks for contacting Sideshow, we're here to help!

To better diagnose this particular situation, please take a few pictures of your Power Girl and the impacted area, and attach them to the reply. We will investigate the best and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!

Most pictures are worth a million words, but please feel free elaborate on your original description, if needed.

We look forward to hearing back so we can take care of this.

Best Regards,

They already had pictures of the damage, I provide them with every request for an exchange I submit on their website........:gah:

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Yeah, its pretty weak............sorry to hear it.....I am hoping that this thread will serve notice to all that Sideshow can and should do better.

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Package is dinged up. Should have ummm helped it look a bit more severe....

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

I did get a full replacement on a figure recently due to the packaging being serverely jacked up... it was crushed in one corner so much that the box had split and even the plastic tray was crinkled up. But the above picture you posted would probably fall under the "normal wear and tear" which is unfortunate as we know that kind of damage to a box will affect the value... maybe not much but I'd guess you'd easily take a $20 hit if trying to resell it and even more if the figure became highly sought after.

I think having to pay $10 extra on top of the already high shipping costs to insure the art box is not damaged is a load, but I guess that it's either pay $10 or take your chances.

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

My wife got her rocket/groot 2-pack and it was demolished. The slip cover was prierced but figures were ok. We decided to just buy elsewhere as we like the already built-in packout options at places like thinkgeek, popcultcha, bbts, etc.

Sorry to hear of your issues. It sucks. Especially if you are like me and prefer a mint brown shipper box.

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Thanks for the posts/thoughts all.......will be curious what SSC does with the issue

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Ten days and still waiting a response beyond the 'we got your email and are still looking into it' type email. Two business weeks. Those Sideshow Ninja's go kinda slow!

Of course, I got a response sent this week, asking if I can apply the $20 coupon after-the-fact.

Got a 'no' response. Not surprising.

Re: Normal 'wear&tear?' SSC: we need packout options when ordering

Got a response saying they have an extra box that they will send me...this may get a happy ending!!!!
