This is not SSC fault you can blame the intellects at Lucasfilm for this

Believe me, I can't picture the art depts at SSC or any other company for that matter being too pleased in being "told what to do" by the same geniuses at LFL who decided it was a splendid idea to make Jar Jar tongue lollipops.

you mean you didnt like pretending to suck on jarjars tongue? I sure did.

Amen brother! With everything coming out 1st quarter tax returns might be the only way for some of us to pay for all this.

And that is probably how I am going to get out of this mess. Heh.

Maybe they are taking into consideration the Chinese New Year--everything pretty much shuts down for a few weeks during that period. They must be planning accordingly, knowing that nothing will get worked on or shipped out during the holiday.

Stupid holidays... I want my next Star Wars figure.

But chinese new year is in the middle of 1st quarter(feb 18 in 2007 according to google) so it's more like they're scheduling all this right onto the holiday.

I just don't want them to dump everything on us again... a 12" figure a week is one thing, but Boba Fett PF on top of jabba will break a lot of banks.

Believe me I know what you mean...,I work in art dept. One of our clients is a big beer company that tells us exactly how to do everything. It gets annoying because we are supposed to be creative and all the creative "ideas" come from people at the "top, who have no creativity at all. But, hey , it pays the bills and for my Sideshow stuff, so I guess that I shouldn't complain!

But how can delays cause people to not afford what's on order? If items were moving up, I could see this logic but it doesn't make any sense for a delay. I'm not saying I'm looking forward to dishing out the nearly $2000 of pre-orders in a few week stretch, but assuming something got pushed back I would've already had to pay for it. This will make holding on to the PF Gray Hulk a lot easier assuming it doesn't get delayed into 2007.

I fully expect Fett PF and Jabba to be April so that should alleviate some of the pressure.

Another thing is I bet stuff that is set to come out in that time will be a small nudge back.

I am definately not a big fan of this trend lately of receiving orders from Sideshow all in one blast... It doesn't make sense to me. Seems like people are going to have to cancel some things that they otherwise would have been able to budget... I am afraid I can kiss the whole Jabba Diorama buh-bye. :monkey2

The company I work for produces many different custom orders for the same customer. Many times these jobs ship all at the same time to save the customer the money of having to send a truck on more than one occasion. Perhaps the same is happening at Sideshow. This stuff comes from China, right? Maybe it's cheaper to ship everything over in one container just once versus two or three containers on different occasions. Isn't there export/import fees that have to be paid and other taxes and fees?

I'm just thinking out loud, not trying to start any conspiracy theories or anything.

Well if they are waiting for production to ship their entire order at once maybe that would give them a little more time on quality control.

Now Josh, you should know by now, they always get pushed back at least a bit. It really depends on your expectations, I was fairly certain that the items I have on order wouldn't be seen exactly on time (I was actually kinda banking on it). It is wierd that they are SO delayed however, bummer.

I usually expect a small delay but not a several months delay. That's what suprised me about Maul being pushed back till next year. Oh well lets me make a few CC and Car payments without having to worry.
