Exactly. The only amendment I asked Rainman to make on my David private commission was the eye paint. I commissioned Rainman because I really love his style and wanted his interpretation. I don't think I would have felt comfortable telling him to make changes to the sculpt.

Superb figure in every way--congrats to the owner! Also have to agree that being able to see these fantastic commissions (rather than never seeing them because collectors keep them hidden away) is one of the perks of joining a collecting community. Sure, I might never own some of these pieces, but so what? It's great to see the creativity and the execution of someone else's vision ... that's part of why I joined in the first place.

I would buy a Donny, but only because I already have the Dude and Walter.

I guess I'm in the minority, in that I think this sculpt is really, really good, though there is that slight Rainman stylistic influence that many of his sculpts have.

I think you're in the majority...most also think it is really really good. I had my doubts about RM nailing the likeness when I first heard he was doing Nucky, but I think its 95% nailed!

Yeah its got that Hannibal look to it maybe a little squished. ..the cheeks might be a little to full for Nucky. But yes 95 precent nailed and wait for better pics also.

I think it's miles better than his Hannibal sculpt personally, which was a bit of a miss. Rainman and smirk expressions just don't seem to work very well most of the time IMO. But yeah, the stylistic similarities are certainly evident.

Completely blown away. Such a gorgeous custom. I feel the need to save up the money to afford a commission from Rainman.

Great looking custom. The suit really makes the figure. Great props with the figure.

:exactly: I thought it was a solid likeness at first glance and haven't changed my mind after studying the pics every so often since they were posted. The RM touch is evident as it is in 90% of his sculpts (including Harrow) and I also immediately noticed the similarities with this and Lecter, and yes there is a little room for improvement (as with most sculpts from any artist) but this is easily 90%. If HT is the benchmark in likeness (although I think that EB as produced a few sculpts that beat out HT's best) then I'd say that Nucky and Mohawk Bickle come as close to the mark as any Wayne or Stark sculpt they've ever put out. Really as close to the mark as any HT sculpt aside from a small handful of their very best.
