"Promising" only cause the mask is covering up most of Les' paintjob, and you said you weren't quite done with the hair yet :wink1:...looking forward to more pictures.

Mine has been stuck in nuetral for a while. If I could find ways to deal with some of the eyesores (neck/arm/leg joints specifically) I would enjoy it a whole lot more. I would like to see Les' wig with the added real hair as well....

I'll try to get time to shoot mine when I can. (I'm hoping to post pics of my entire 12 figure DK set soon anyway) The molded wig with a few loose strands in front it all it needs to me. The shape is perfect. Otherwise, my Nurse is almost exactly like Pjam's. Need to solve the same dilemmas. But I won't worry with arm sleeves and all that. The joints don't bother me that much.
Glad you're happy with your's Pjam. :wave

It is breathtaking. Thank you!!

As I just saw this on the previous page... There is something really cool about this. Like it's not real yet real at the same time. There's something I really like about his painting that has a very unique style to it. As if it was a life like toon. Or animated series came to life.

Interesting! Looking forward to seeing that.

I agree, it's quite attention grabbing, and while the style isn't to my liking, I can certainly appreciate the artistry that goes into it. I'm not sure what it is that gives Small Studio's repaints this quality - the colours always seem very saturated so it may have something to do with the paints he uses being loaded with more pigment than others? I also wouldn't be at all surprised if he had studied/worked in classical portraiture and has applied those techniques to his figure painting. Or I could be wrong about both of those...it's been puzzling me exactly what is is that gives me the "it's a life-like painted portrait" feeling - just when I think it's something like strong bold lines I realise that those forehead wrinkles are actually surrounded by shading. As I said, it's talented work that commands attention!

I effing love the neck/torso part. I'd really like that done for my nurse joker (if I ever get one) someday.

That JS painted Nurse is nice, if different. He does exemplary clean and thought out work. Always worth the effort to have. I need one of his paints for my own collection someday.

I'll try to get shots of mine within a couple of days. I actually want to shoot a YouTube vid of my set, Nurse included, so that may be the "shoot" day when it comes. By the weekend I hope.

I'll have more reveal shots up this week too, maybe we'll all enjoy a FML Nurse spongebath this week. :lol

Here's another shot, same pose, to match the Film Still pose. It's a bit sunwashed, tough to shoot mid day in L.A. but I gotta bounce. You can see the eyes a little better here, more to come, sans mask, sans wig, etc. :D

Better Pic, different light...

Digging the real hair wig!

The best thing about Josh's paint ups, is that in the flesh, they are infact very very realistic and lifelike. He's a real gun, on the gun!

I keep my HT in my office, directly across from my desk. And I just could NOT have that thing looking at me all day. The combination of the hair and his eyes are just so creepy.

:lol I wouldn't either. He IS creepy looking with those eyes, funny thing is, from other angles, with face hidden, it looks like a Girl Nurse. Then you see his face :horror

Well, you asked for it, here's the FML Reveal with Wig Mod. Still needs some futzing but it sits tighter on the head now and I did some trimming. Will post more pics soon but I think this belongs in the Horror Section. :horror

WARNING: DO NOT VIEW WHILE CONSUMING FOOD OR BEVERAGES. :lol
