I got some extra "goodies" from the con if anyone wants it, PM an address and I'll send it out. Basically advertisement stuff, a comic, event program, etc.

I saw all those! I loved the Buck Rogers Mego style figures. They came out great! Too bad they're 8" like you said.

Unfortunately, it looks like there missing Wilma and Princess Ardala. No love for the ladies here I guess.

We had our own male body made for the first series and we're doing the same with a female body that will be used for Wilma and Ardala in series 2.

Hi ZICA. Nice to see more members of the museum here. You should post some pix of your fabulous 8" bodies. Show 'em off. But I agree, you should make those bodies in 1/6 scale too. There needs to be a great inexpensive body in 1/6.

I can't wait to see the Buck figure in person. :)

We're trying our best to get Buck and Tigerman out by mid December and the remaining three from series 1 should be available around May of 2011. The SRP is $29.99.

Thanks for the reply Zica. One more question, will these be available via Diamond? I'm from Canada and most of the toy retail here kinda suck. haha! Can't wait for series 2, gotta get me a Wilma! Will she have the catsuit or a flight suit like buck?? Will she have sculpted hair or rooted hair?

Hey guys, have you considered adding a bit more waist articulation on the figures? I look forward to seeing what this female body will look like.
As has been said, a decent, inexpensive figure [even just nude for customs] is long overdue in 1:6

The first shipment of series one won't be available via Diamond. However, there are a few of the larger online retailers who are interested in carrying the figures so you shouldn't have any problems. Wilma will be in the white flight suit like Buck and the plan for now is that she will have rooted hair.

WOW, with the likenesses you've shown so far, I am fully stoked to see a rooted hair Col. Deering!!

Quick! Someone send me a 1:6 Gil Gerard head I can pop on my custom Buck Rogers in the 25th Century figure to help nudge Zica up a few scales!

As competitive as the 1/6 scale market is there's no way I'm going to throw my hat in that ring. :horror

The female body we're developing is a much more articulated body than our male body. The design will be similar to what's currently being done on some of the modern 1/6 scale female bodies except that no rubber materials will be used.

Ahhh, don't be afraid.

Outstanding. I was never a fan of the rubberized "parts". If you guys pull that off it could show it could be done as well on the larger figures.

I'll let my friends at Go Hero and Executive Replicas tackle the 1/6 scale market. It's hard enough keeping my sanity in the 1/9 scale world. :cuckoo:

If the female body does well and people are happy with it I might take a shot at doing a 1/6 scale version.

ACTUALLY . . . be afraid. Be very afraid.

1:6 female figure collectors are a very "fickle" bunch . . . to put it mildly. To be brief . . . 1:6 female figures in general got very spoiled by BBI CY GIRL figures and everything else since are a matter of much debate regarding articulation, design, quality, function, form, etc.

You thought Sideshow Freaks forum members were "demanding". Wait until you get a load of them. I speak from personal experience because my primary 1:6 focus is . . . 1:6 female figures.

IF . . . you decide to enter the 1:6 rat race with a 1:6 female figure . . . have a very tough skin and be prepared for the following . . .

1. Criticisms of all kinds.

2. The possibility, probability, and very likely eventuality of having your 1:6 body design either outright bootlegged, jacked, stolen by another 1:6 manufacturer hiding under a different off brand name or a small limited run coalition out of China.

If you do offer something totally different, unique, and worthwhile from what is currently available . . . then more power to you.

Personally speaking . . . I would not get too cozy with Executive Replicas, but that's my own personal opinion. It's your prerogative.

Will be getting all of Series 1, Series 2...and 3 if there is one

Can there be any competition if you have the license??

What medium do you prefer your masters to be made in?

Actually, the "don't be afraid" was geared towards making the Buck figures in 1:6.

If your 8" female is decent, it would definitely be worth a go in 1:6 as not everyone can afford Hot Toys bodies for everything they do.

And, I don't don't know how long you've known the ER guys but, knowing them as long as I have, they are sopme of the nicest and best 1:6 guys around. But, as with DFC, thats only my opinion.

Either way, no matter who you are "cozy" with I just want to see Buck in 1:6. :D

At this point I've got my hands full with the 1/9 scale projects and being as both Go Hero and Executive Replicas seem to prefer the 1/6 scale it would make more sense to have one of them try. I know at one point Go Hero expressed some interest in possibly doing the line in 1/6 scale.

I'm not sure I follow on the other question.

the go hero buck rogers was pretty nice, but way overpriced. everything they've done since then was awful to say the least. :(

i dont own anything from executive replicas but i remember they were the guys that released those night of the living dead figures. the michael crawford review is what i remember most :lol

i much prefer sideshow or hot toys to do the tv series buck. i'd buy a really nice albeit expensive figure than another slightly cheaper 1/6 figure any day

...Or at least Wilma and Ardalla! ;) Buck has been made. These two haven't.

I say, don't waste the license or the opportunity.
Buck, ala Gil Gerard, has never been made in 1:6. The 12" Mgo doesn't count as there was no resemblence whatsoever. And a 1:6 Hawk, and Ardala certainly would be welcome.

There's a difference between expensive and overpriced. I know that ER has some of the best sculptors in the 1:6 biz and would knock the likenesses out of the park.
