I think no matter who is elected president... It will be politics as usual.

And nothing will get done. This country is stagnating.

Honestly, I support Obama because I believe he will at least TRY to change things. His ideals mirror my own....

Our country is in shambles in many ways, things need to change. It won't be easy, and taxes on the wealthy will have to happen, but in the end... I'd rather vote a nominee in that really seems to want to change the way we do things in this country... than someone who seems to want to keep things the same.

(I'm sure this thread is doomed... but good thing you did it anyway)

All I know... is that drilling for more oil is NOT the answer. Continuing tax cuts at a time when money is needed for reform... is not needed. And continuing to allow big business to dictate what this country's interests are...isn't needed either. We need to go in new directions, I hope he will take us there... or at least do his best to steer us towards that horizon.

That I agree with. We continue to take it from both parties. They do a lot for themselves and nothing for the people.

I watch this convention on TV and it is nothing but a dog and pony show and starting Monday it will be a pony and dog show.

As long as lobbying groups dictate most of our domestic and foreign policies, not much will change. But seeing as how Obama doesn't take money from Lobbying groups gives me hope. McCain on the otherhand.....

As I watch this convention... It is all Theater. There is very little difference between this and the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon. Lewis begs for your money and these people beg for your vote.

It is all slickly produced and really sappy. The difference is, the MDA Telethon may help some children.
