To those who support Obama, what specific issues do you agree with him on?

I broadly agree with his positions on almost everything. Can you list some specific issues you have in mind or did you mean broader topics like the economy? For example I agree with his belief in universal health care, but I'm not sure that's a specific issue as such. If we drill down to individual actions, as another example, I agree with his decision to vote against a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. I agree broadly with his position on corporate taxes and subsidies; I agree specifically with his vote to end tax subsidies for companies that move workers overseas.

I bitterly disagreed with his FISA vote, but domestic spying and blowhard security measures would only be worse under McCain.

Please don't assume every voter is ignorant of their candidate's position on various issues. I certainly don't assume that of McCain voters (although I admit I am boggled by anyone who's lived through the last eight years voting for more of the same).

Obama is a socialist point blank.
He keeps talking about economic justice.
Not everybody in this country is supposed to have wealth not everyone can be rich.
If someone goes out and starts their own business and works hard why should they get their money taxed higher because they make more money and some other dead beat wants to collect welfare.
Not that i think McCain is a great candidate but i think he has more experience with foreign policy and wouldn't be a ^^^^^ foot with the Russians either.
Obama is to wishey washey anyway he seems to flip flop every time on his policies to get voters. He's the most liberal senator and has never crossed party lines to get anything done.
I actually would have voted for Hillary before McCain but she kind of got screwed from the John Edwards babys momma scandal down to Michigan and Florida not counting her votes.
I will probably piss off alot of liberals on here with my comments but that's just how i feel. The way i see it McCain is just the lesser of two evils at this point.

Obama is a socialist point blank.

You clearly have no idea what the world "socialism" means.

Obama is to wishey washey anyway he seems to flip flop every time on his policies to get voters.

Have you been paying the slightest bit of attention to McCain over the past eight years?

He's the most liberal senator and has never crossed party lines to get anything done.

Both of these clauses are factually wrong.

I actually would have voted for Hillary before McCain but she kind of got screwed from the John Edwards babys momma scandal down to Michigan and Florida not counting her votes.

I'm curious to hear how you justify slamming Obama as a socialist while admitting you would have voted for a woman whose top priority is famously universal health care. Obama and Hillary believe broadly in the same platform; McCain believes in some radically opposite positions. How does this even begin to make sense?

Well i guess we can agree to disagree then.
It's just my stance on one politician, they are all crooked anyway.
I guess socialist is a bit strong but i do believe seeking equal pay is a socialistic idea.

So is your local fire department and the roads they ride on. Obama is not a socialist, but like every single American from all ends of the spectrum he supports a variety of socialist ideals.
