What on earth has happened to this LSF:dunno Has it been scrapped or something? Since seeing it last year at SDCC we've not heard too much about it...

after the maul lsf, i wouldnt put too much hope into this. I know ss got stung pretty bad by that release..financially.

You "know?"

What do you know about their financial situation on that piece. I'm not trying to be an ***, I'm genuinely interested...

they made only 1 batch before closing the mold, after all the r&d that went into it especially for a lsf.

How do you know this.. Did SSC email you their business plan???

Wow, factory and R&D insight too.. Where are these facts coming form. It's obvious you hate the LSF line, you troll each one posting only negative comments. Please provide the group with your documents, emails, and or data that supports all your speculations. Also maybe you can supply the group with photos of your LSF's detailing each of the issues that disturb you...your returns and pics showing your complaints??? Not trying to be mean.. I just don't know how you make all these wild speculations??? Please share...:)

Lastly, if SSC dose end the LSF line which infact they are not... So what, so we have some cool big statues... :)

calm down i am not bedding your wife, stop taking everything so personally and i dont even know what you are rambling on about, ending lsf? trolling lsf? i am not even saying anything negative. They announced it in the newsletter maul is done for. Since maul did poorly, obiwan lsf is at risk as they are both similar mixed media lsf from star wars, what is so wrong about saying that?

Bunch of children...

Who knows? After SDCC i thought there'd be a huge interest and demand on this statue...sculpt looks perfect and the detail seems to be on par with the Doom LSF!

where was it announced, do you remember which newsletter?

it was the feb 7 newsletter, here's the text. For them to close out the production on something this expensive, an open edition AND just shipped a month or two back, it doesnt take a genius to figure out what is going on.

"Jedi! I Have Been Waiting For You!"
The Darth Maul Legendary Scale Figure from Sideshow Collectibles is IN-STOCK now, so grab one for your Star Wars collection ASAP before the last TWENTY (20) disappear for good! [Darth Maul Legendary Scale Figure IN-STOCK]

That is really just Sideshow's usual tactic to get fence sitters to place an order. At least that's my opinion. Just like they did two weeks ago with the Kenobi Mythos. Put him on fake waitlist to get me to order, and now I already have one!

That's far more their business tactic than what you have proposed.

Sorry, but SS has cried wolf far too many times for me to fall for it any more. I knew I'd have a Mythos no problem. And I also don't believe they're cracking any mold on a $2000 piece with an open edition.

That's reaching with your "logic." :dunno

The newsletter said for good, I don't think they will flat out lie like that. Different than change the stock status unannounced back and forth

I recall talking about the LSF at comic-con and it was my understanding that each LSF would be producded for only so long. There would be no announced ES per say but they'd make them for say six months and then stop.

We could look to the German Paratrooper PF as an indication. That one was going to use the same "new skin" technique as Obi-Wan I believe. And that one was delayed for forever...

The rumor is that the "new skin" technique has not been easy to replicate and QC. I think is tough for Sideshow to show something cool at SDCC but then have to downgrade it to regular sculpting while still charging the same $2,000.

And so the question on everybody's lips is....

When will we ever get to pre order the Obi Wan Legendary Scale Figure?? It's been so long since we first saw him...now it's gone very quiet :( the sculpt is truly amazing!!

It's been 3 days and nobody has commented on the obvious changes on this piece?

If that tells you anything is that the sales for this will be low whenever that is.
