Oh, and here's a shot of mine. Sorry for the rant... Just beyond disappointed. Think I'm just going to try sanding out the foot slot to see if I can make it have enough room even with the pin/hole in the wrong place.

$40 credit or a refund. For a statue that won't fit into the ******* base.

$40?!

...And not even off the price of the statue, but money towards something ELSE?? I'm wasn't interested in anything else SS had before, and I'm certainly not now. They also didn't even answer my question about whether breaking the damn leg off trying to fit it into the defective hole on the base would preclude me from getting a refund. So I'll probably wait another few days to find that out.

As for the credit, does anyone know if it gets applied to my account automatically, or is it a code I enter. If it's the latter I'll just give it to someone here or something. I'm done with Sideshow.

The $40 refund is a joke, that's seriously horrible.
No matter what, either you return the statue and get a refund or you keep the statue, alter it and never have a statue that's worth the value you paid since it had to be repaired.
SSC needs to step their QC up and if not handle customers with issues properly.

I think all obi mythos has some lean on it.. Otherwise sumone gives us a picture of their statue with no lean.

The angle with the mcgregor head will definetly wont show the lean, ive been using that angle.

While the alec shot, there's a slight lean.. Cant say there aint.

Nice shots.

The lean is really nothing, at least on mine. I can take a photo and make it look bad, but displayed on a level surface, the pose is natural. Good luck to those with issues. I feel like I got lucky.

Anyone ever sanded down polystone before? Anything specific I should know? Plan is to use a Dremel to sand the sides of the space under the front foot so it's big enough, and then figure out if I need to re-drill the hole the metal peg goes in.

Here goes ever selling this thing... :dunno

I didn't get this statue but it looks very impressive. I much prefer the Ewan McGregor head as it just screams tired pain, suffering & loss. Congrats to all who own this.

Now that you mentioned it, I agree. He does look deflated a bit. I like both sculpts myself. The Alec Guinness one is the older, wiser look of the two. I'm actually impressed with these mythos statues and all they come with. It's pretty loaded in terms of swap-out parts.

Woah, forgot I got this one earlier this week. Need to crack it open and check for damage. I'd go with Ewan I think....after reading Obi-Wan book kinda leaning towards him at the moment.

My replacement should be here this week. They are going to inspect it before they ship it to me so hopefully I get a good one.

Well, I did it! Used a Dremel attachment to sand away a considerable amount of polystone, or glue, or something that was making the right foot hole on my base too small to even fit the right foot into it. Then redrilled the hole in the base that the metal peg goes into, greased up the peg a little to help it go smoothly, and prayed as I tried putting the foot in.

Worked nearly perfectly, though the outside of the right heel is ever so slightly elevated and a tiny bit of the black under the boot sole is visible if you look close. Doesn't look awful, isn't noticeable as it looks like a shadow from normal distance, but still annoys me. As will the fact that I'll never be able to remove the statue from the base, and thus would be unable to sell it (not that I have plans to, but things always can change.)

I'm happy with what I have now, but fixing my statue myself doesn't make me happier about my Sideshow experience. Considering using my credit plus my reward points (if I can even do that?) to get the 1/6 Scout and Bike, but I don't know if I even want to bother.

Glad it worked! Show some pictures when you can.
